Deep amber pour. Nose of sweet caramel and iced tea. A touch of citrus as well as some chewy sweetness. A little bit of toasted malt - quite fresh in the malt front. Pepper and some toffee. Not really IPAish but decent enough. Moderately bitter.

[5329-20130504] Cask. Chocolatey dusted fruity grains aroma. Slightly hazy, brown orange body with a quick bubbly white head. Bitter fruit peel hops flavour has a light sweet tea aftertaste. Medium body is pretty flat. Interesting to try. (7/3/7/3/13) 3.3

2013-05-04. Very dark orange body, near headless. Odd aroma, notes of caramel and caramelized fruit, odd green leafy character. Flavour is a similarly odd melange, sweet fruit character has pleasant moments, moderate bitterness throughout. Overall impression is just a bit odd. Smooth average plus bodied palate is great for cask but nearly flat. 3+ On cask at Volo IPA Challenge

Cask at Volo’s 5th IPA Challenge. Pours a murky copper with an average size long-lasting bubbly off-white head. Aroma is a buttery mess, I did not care for it all. Flavour’s no better, it’s watery and vegetal along with caramel malt and light hops. Average bodied. Sorry, not on style and not good.

A reddish copper ale with a thin light mocha head. In aroma, loads of caramel malt with faint boiled corn and maple. In mouth, a sweet maple caramel with grassy hops, light treacle, not bad but not an IPA.
