A summer time treat! Raspberries are allowed to marry over time with a light, crisp easy drinking beer.

Average wheat beer with very light dose of raspberry. Its good that the raspberry is this low, otherwise it would obliterate this beer. Pours golden. Finishes with light sweetness and sourness. Balance is ok but super light lager here. Tap at Burden brewpub.

On tap @ Murray Street, Ottawa. Hazy light golden with a low creamy head. Aroma is lightly sweaty with sweet raspberry. The palate offers dominant raspberry character, slightly powdery but with low sweetness, and a light wheaty base. Toward the end I was getting little hints of watermelon. Good for the patio.

Sweet, almost totally natural raspberry aroma in front of subtle, sweet caramel base malt. Almost clear gold under a white ring. Dry raspberry and malt flavour with a crispifying bitterness. Very quaffable. Light body, crisp and clean.

Kind of boring. Faint bit of raspberry taste and aroma, but really not much going on here. Pass.

(5 avril 2013)

On tap at the Bank St. brewpub. Surprising bubble gum esters and raspberry sweetness. Mild overall but ester heavy with what’s there.

On tap aht the Market Brewpub. Pale blond body with a thin white foamy head. Thin malty/hoppy aroma with light fruity and flowery hints. Its malty/hoppy taste is rather bland. The raspberry notes a barely detectable. Ends with a short bitter/grainy finish. Not a fruit beer.

Originally rated January 2006. Ouch ! This one was served with a lemon slice. Poured a light golden colour with a very slight touch of red. The aroma was kind of sour with some wheat mostly and the raspberry in the back. Even the taste, started on a sour note, then the grain kicked in to finish lightly with the wheat and raspberry. I remember this one being better many, many years ago, but still refreshing... specially in summer.
