From cask at the brewpub. Pours clear and pale yellow with a small and dense white head. Barnyard and horseblanket aroma. Mild acidic and dry brettish flavoured with a light citrusy note. What a surprise. Dry and acidic into a mild malty/cornish flavoured finish. Nice one. Light and easy.

on tap at the brewpub. spritzy yellow, bland and cardboardy, no real hop character other than a faint bitterness. more like a bad helles than a good koelsch
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Rastacouere (5921) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 1, 2007
A very average take on the Kölsch style. It is a clear, light golden beer topped by a mostly lasting small white cover. The first sip betrays the very very thin body that struggles to reach crispness and fails as misplaced minerals make for most of the bitterness. A floral and overly fruity example.

Tap, Clockwork, Glasgow, RBESG 07. This is the reason that weegies don’t brew Kolsch. Clear yellow, thin white head. Wheaty metallic hop, dusty maltiness. Fake lemon aroma, some more metallicness. Finishes warm and more metallic staleness. Terrible.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 harrisoni (10070) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 24, 2007

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 TBone (9414) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 27, 2006
Draught@brew pub.
Pale yellow, small creamy (steady) white head. This one has same sticky-grassy aroma than the other Clockworks. Sweet malty, grassy hoppy flavor. Quite nice as a kölsch. Sweetish aftertaste.
