Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
"This unique fusion of two styles of beer is born from the original German Altbier crossed with American red ale. Brewed from pale malt, Vienna malt, Bavarian melanoidin malt and roasted wheat, this is then flavoured with American hops using the Liberty variety for aroma. 'Fruit and malt aroma, soft malt texture with a caramel flavour. Big hop finish'."

Clear chestnut pour covered by a lasting off-white ring that leaves a fair amount of lacing. Caramelly, earthy nose hints at excessive sweetness to come. Dark malt profile for an alt. Very light-bodied and focused mostly on breadiness in mouth. Easily drinkable, but only spicy and thin ultimately.

Draft at the brewpub. A dark amber beer with a thin beige head. The aorma is sweet matly combined with notes of caramel, and light grassy notes. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel and light notes of grass and citrus, towards the end.

Tap, Clockwork, Glasgow, RBESG 07. Reddy copper with thin white head. Fruity malt, some pork fat. Mouth is some fruit and metallic. Quite spicy at the end, but more metallic lasting through. Nothing special.
