Nice golden color with a medium head/ Aroma is appley with some brown sugar sweetness. Sweet apple flavor with some light tanginess and lots of sugar. Pretty good overall and it hit the spot for the mood I was in.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is way under rated. Pours clear light copper with a small head that after some time dissipates into nothingness. Looks like watered down cognac after a while. Aroma is not overpowering but strong syrup sugar apples. Some apples skins tartness there to set it off. Taste is sweeter apples being used with a short aftertaste is drier "greener" apples. It’s a nice quaff able cider. Very light with a slightly stinging carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Clear amber color, light head, no lacing. Nose of light candy corn, fructose, apple cider, fresh, not too musty but some wood and dust is there. Nice flavor, semi-sweet, pleasant cider.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle pours a light orange/amber with a short lively head. A bit soda pop-ish I suppose. Aroma is apples, a bit tart and ascidic. Flavor is more like Martinellis than most of the other more dry ciders I have had. The right mix of apple flavor and dry tartness. The fairly low ABV made this more enjoyable to me.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle: My first rating of a cider, so here goes. Pours a lot like apple juice with an aroma that first struck me as candy corn, then into some butterscotch, and finally the smell of apples. Flavor is sweet and tart apples. Lively carbonated. Enjoyable.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Looks like fizzy apple juice. No head. Smells of over-ripe apples with some raisins and oak. Has a good sweet apple flavor with definite raisin and an oak barrel finish. Finishes kind of like a cheap Chardonnay. Decent, and different than a lot of ciders I’ve tried, but nothing too great.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Enjoy cider but not this one. A champagne look to it when poured. Aroma was of unripened apples and the tart flavor supported that. I like tart apples but this cider was not pleasant to drink. Some metallic notes in the taste, too. Disappointing.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from whole foods on peterson, chicago. Clear, light brown with light carbonation trails. Aroma is sweet apple juice though nothing too exciting. Dry lemon/green apple flavor is most prominent, okay. Medium bodied and lightly carbonated. Okay.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
750ml bottle. Aroma is like burnt sugar/caramel combined with tart apple, some yeast-derived funkiness in the background as well. Light amber color, gently sparkling. Flavor is tart and sweet, again lightly burnt somehow and sugary, more bready yeast character here as well, but with a certain unpleasant chemical flavor and aftertaste. Drying out substantially before the end. Light and watery on the palate. Can’t really say I enjoyed it much, I really wasn’t sure what to expect with this stuff, though, so maybe it just took me off guard.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The first beverage of the night at Indra’s Mead, Cider and Sake Tasting 8/31/07. Pours a deep sparkling gold with a thin wispy white cap of head. The nose is an interesting mix of sweet caramel and a blend of sweet and sour apples. There’s something oddly familiar about the aroma that makes me think of my childhood, but I can’t put my finger on why that is... Medium-bodied and tart it finishes quite dryly. The flavor follows the nose with the finish detracting a bit from the overall experience. It’s nice, but it’s a bit too dry for my tastes.
