COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Clos Normand range of ciders is made in the heart of the Normandy region from the choicest apples grown on trees. This cider owes its rich, full flavor to the quality of the fruit we use as well as to the care we take at each stage of the cider-making process. The result is a subtle alliance of sweet and sour taste, that is the trademark of Clos Normand.

Under-rated. Golden pour with head like champagne. Aroma is crisp of apples. Taste is sweet and sharp in nature with a nice apple bite. Nice cider.

75 cL bottle, bought in a German supermarket (Ullrich Hit, Mohrenstr, Berlin) as Clos Normand Herb, 4%, produced at the Le Theil-sur-Huisne facility. Pours clear and golden orange with a fizzy white head. Sulphorish dry apple aroma. Flavour follows this closely with a mix of sulphor and apple, quite dry. Ends mild acidic and dry. Pleasant and flavourful Normandic cider. Goes well with salmon.

Pours with a quickly vanishing white head covering a clear, deep golden body. Aroma of overripened apples and vinegar with a bit of caramalized oxidation. Taste like a no alcohol cheap children’s cider (overly sweet and bland). Slightly on the fizzy side.

Rich gold, no head, lots of visible carbonation. Nose is sweet apple goodness, a little must. Some woody cherriness I can’t quite place. Flavor is a mix of sweet & acidic apple. There is mustiness & undefined (non-apple) fruit juice. High carbonation keeps it light but its still somewhat slippery on my tongue. Odd.

Nice golden color with a medium head/ Aroma is appley with some brown sugar sweetness. Sweet apple flavor with some light tanginess and lots of sugar. Pretty good overall and it hit the spot for the mood I was in.

This is way under rated. Pours clear light copper with a small head that after some time dissipates into nothingness. Looks like watered down cognac after a while. Aroma is not overpowering but strong syrup sugar apples. Some apples skins tartness there to set it off. Taste is sweeter apples being used with a short aftertaste is drier "greener" apples. It’s a nice quaff able cider. Very light with a slightly stinging carbonation.
Cork&cage 750mL green bottle, Duvel larger tulip glass.

Bottle: Clear amber color, light head, no lacing. Nose of light candy corn, fructose, apple cider, fresh, not too musty but some wood and dust is there. Nice flavor, semi-sweet, pleasant cider.

Bottle pours a light orange/amber with a short lively head. A bit soda pop-ish I suppose. Aroma is apples, a bit tart and ascidic. Flavor is more like Martinellis than most of the other more dry ciders I have had. The right mix of apple flavor and dry tartness. The fairly low ABV made this more enjoyable to me. Very nice.

Bottle: My first rating of a cider, so here goes. Pours a lot like apple juice with an aroma that first struck me as candy corn, then into some butterscotch, and finally the smell of apples. Flavor is sweet and tart apples. Lively carbonated. Enjoyable.

Looks like fizzy apple juice. No head. Smells of over-ripe apples with some raisins and oak. Has a good sweet apple flavor with definite raisin and an oak barrel finish. Finishes kind of like a cheap Chardonnay. Decent, and different than a lot of ciders I’ve tried, but nothing too great.
