Indiana_Red (1470), Boise, Idaho, USA Feb 4, 2008 Bottle pours a light orange/amber with a short lively head. A bit soda pop-ish I suppose. Aroma is apples, a bit tart and ascidic. Flavor is more like Martinellis than most of the other more dry ciders I have had. The right mix of apple flavor and dry tartness. The fairly low ABV made this more enjoyable to me.
Very nice.
WeeHeavySD (1867), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Oct 2, 2008 750ml shared with a friend who likes cider. Pours orange with a bright white ring. Nose is very sweet with a hint of yeast consistent with a champagne like quality. Taste is very nice with lots of apples, though its a bit thin. Overall not bad. MiP (6029), Flensburg, Germany Sep 21, 2008 Bottle, 4% as Clos Normand Herb. Old apple aroma with a hint of vomit. Pale yellow colour. The flavour is medium-sweet with a slight taste of apple. Not acidic enough. Cardboard aftertaste. GTIN: 3192200 000670 Acknud (611), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA Aug 5, 2008 Under-rated. Golden pour with head like champagne. Aroma is crisp of apples. Taste is sweet and sharp in nature with a nice apple bite. Nice cider. yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 28, 2008 75 cL bottle, bought in a German supermarket (Ullrich Hit, Mohrenstr, Berlin) as Clos Normand Herb, 4%, produced at the Le Theil-sur-Huisne facility. Pours clear and golden orange with a fizzy white head. Sulphorish dry apple aroma. Flavour follows this closely with a mix of sulphor and apple, quite dry. Ends mild acidic and dry. Pleasant and flavourful Normandic cider. Goes well with salmon. BMan1113VR (927), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California, USA Jul 22, 2008 Pours with a quickly vanishing white head covering a clear, deep golden body. Aroma of overripened apples and vinegar with a bit of caramalized oxidation. Taste like a no alcohol cheap children’s cider (overly sweet and bland). Slightly on the fizzy side.
