Drank to celebrate Jess’s PhD defense! 200 ml bottle. Pours still, orange, and clear. Aroma of sweet apples and some booziness. Taste brings much more complexity. Caramel apple sweetness with a nice balance of acidity. Upon some sips, I got a hit of cheese in there. Full mouthfeel with a much more acidic and dry finish. The aroma didn’t necessarily bode well for this one, but I’m glad the flavor really came out. Really delicious stuff and would certainly try again some time.

Bottle (200 ml). Golden amber. Strong apple aroma, more than in most of the Ice cider I’ve tasted so far. A lot of sweetness here along with slight fruity notes. Taste is heavily sweet with apple, fruits and slight spices. Warming alcohol/sugar. Medium body. Another very good Ice cider!

Medium amber with lighter gold edges, 2009 bottle. Sweet apple, honey, light caramel with some acidity in the front and finish. More pear like, more tropical fruits than LA Face, with a lighter feel and some pleasant spices. Finish has a lighter oxidized note. Just realized this is Avalanche and not the normal Los saragnant cider, which explains the pear flavors.

[4950-20121116] 341mL bottle. Light apple skins aroma. Clear, amber orange body with thick legs. Tasty apple skins sweetness in the flavour. Medium body. Very sweet but finishes crisply with a nice aftertaste. (8/4/8/4/17) 4.1

2012-11-16. Dark amber body, headless, syrupy silky legs on the glass. 3+ Smells great, sweet concentrated baked apples, tart apples follow. 8+ Rich flavour, sweet fruity apple base, muted sugary accents, modest acidity balances it very well. 8+ Smooth syrupy full body is still. 4+ Lovely stuff. Aroma: tart , red apple , alcohol with apple finish. True apple character. Solid ! 8-
Look: fine haze , amber look , rocky top. Presentable , good appearance. 3+
Taste/palate: full bodied, rich , caramelized apple feel with alcohol that is well incorporated in structure. Cinnamon sweet sugars noted second. Very good.

Bottle courtesy of jercraigs and mabel. The nose is incredible. Bright acidity and some fresh apple character with a bit of baked apple. Intensely sweet and rich with a lot of cooked apple character. Lingering acidity and very delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

La version vendue à la SAQ. Une belle robe dorée bien limpide. De belles jambes qui s’accrochent à la paroi du verre. Un nez chargé par les pommes et par d’autres fruits du verger. Des notes de petits fruits rouges. Du miel sauvage et des notes de sirop d’érable. Au goût, des notes collantes de pommes qui sont traversées par une chaleur et par une certaine acidité. En bouche, une agréable sensation. Un corps rond qui se laisse facilement apprivoiser. En finale, une ode sucrée fortement complexe avec un mouvement acidulé et un moment réconfortant.

Cider of the night. Pours an orange amber syrup. Aroma is cooked apples, honey sweetness and apricot. Taste is syrupy texture, honey and apricot with a cloying sweetness. Great cider.

2008 vintage. 200ml bottle shared between 2 personas... Pours a predominantly copper mildly amber hue with absolutely no head whatosoever which is to be expected with a nice glazed over film of legs running down the sides of the glass... Sweet sacharine honey and liquor soaked rum apples. Very dessert like in essence with almost a thick honey like texture. Solid but the sweetness was a touch overbearing... Flavors are sweet and syrupy with concentrated caramelized granny smith apples. Sweet up front through the middle and continues on through the finish. Medium to full consistency with a pretty full bodied experience. Not much more to say except that it’s a solid ice cider that’s well deserving of a try. Wish there were more of it to go around for this tasty little treat.
