On tap at Brugge Brasserie last weekend. Served in a tulip. Pours a moderately-dark brown with a thin off-white head that didn’t last too long and didn’t leave behind much lacing. Thin collar throughout. The nose carried a bit of light acidity, both lactic and a very mild acetic character. A bit of bready malt and very mild sweetness plus a bit of pepper and earth. The flavor was along the same lines, really making it seem like a blend between a saison and a Flanders Red, maybe 75% of the former if it were a blend. Good feel with light acidity and a slightly dry finish, though the beer itself was a bit chewy. Really nice overall.

On tap at Brugge Brasserie. Orange golden color. Slightly hazy. Spice and herbal notes on the nose. Tart fruit. Almost like a cider without the apple. Tastes tart and a bit sour. Clean and very refreshing. Just a touch of residual sugar. Not enough to make it sweet by any means but really works for the beer’s balance. Excellent.
