3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz Bottle. Pours black. Medium body. Roasted malts with a tad bit of dark chocolate. slightly bitter finish. obviously only a part of this is barrel aged but thatís not eveident at all. Decent but not great - on par with the two individual beers used in the blend.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
My Bottom Line:
Biscuity coffee bean angles evolve into roastiness and raisins before alcohol heat adds an edge to this tight Imperial Stout.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the darkest brown.
-Caramelized sugars surge in the second half.
-Oatmeal-like cereal flavors add depth.
-Hop resins meet up with roasted malts in the finish.
-This is a nice dessert brew from aroma to finish.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle. Bottled on 05/2012. Jet black pour. Smells like charred grains, fusel alcohol, licorice, black chocolate, and some bourbon & vanilla too. First sip, whoa strong. Burnt grains flavor, vanilla, cocoa bean bitterness, coffee flavors, charred honey, bourbon wood. Esters of bubblegum, wood, bourbon, and odd flavor character that I can only assume is hops. Loads of wood and toasted chocolate malts. Finishes with a welcoming booziness.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle in a snifter. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, a lot of chocolate malts, hints of vanilla, and some floral hops. Flavor the same, a little too sweet. Smooth texture. A pretty good beer, but not the best of its style.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber shared with UncleMattie. Pours a dark brown with a tan foamy head. Aroma of chocolate burnt coffee and hints of vanilla.Taste is of sweet malts, just like the nose. A bit of chocolate and burnt coffee, light vanilla taste and bourbon and oak. Nice mix between Blaecorn and Vampire. Angry Beast definitely made a good night.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
May 12 bottling. Dark pour, Looks like a serious dark stout. Looks great, thatís about where it all goes downhill. Dark toasted malts, bordering on burnt. Some smoke, and peat. Maybe some unintended secondary fermentation in the bottle, gives it a bit of stale malt flavor. The half that was barrel aged didnt come through at all. I see no signs of bourbon.
