3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by Lunch. Thanks Paul.
The beer appears near black with a half inch of dense beige head. The aroma brings prominent dark roast with dark fruits, molasses, chocolate. Heavy roast throughout, with alcohol content unobtrusive. Hard to believe this is 12.5%. A bit one dimensional, as the roast dominates the majority of the flavor profile. Really smooth feel on the palate. The mouthfeel is the best aspect of the beer. All in all, a solid beer, and one I would have again.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber from Sonoma Cellars. Pours opaque, very, very dark brown with a chocolate milk head leaving almost no lacing. Aroma has molasses and both dark chocolate and milk chocolate, with caramel. Taste is of sweet caramel, bitter bakers chocolate and roasted malts. Syrupy and strong. Almost overwhelmingly chocolatey, with some roughness. Finishes bittersweet chocolate malty with some length. Alchohol well hidden. Clown Shoes continues their very strong line of brews.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22oz Bottle. The pour was a deep dark jet black with an average (1-2 finger) medium brown dense creamy head that reduced to a thin film with a small collar and had excellent sheeting of sticky lacing.
The aroma was very robust with a burnt chocolate malt, light resin hops and a sweaty leathery yeast, with notes of dark chocolate, dark roasted coffee, vanilla and a bit of smoke.
The taste was extremely malty and lightly sweet with a hint of chocolate for the first few seconds, and then became moderately bitter with a big coffee note, a hint of smoke and an almost overwhelming alcohol presence towards the finish. The flavor stuck around for an average duration after the swallow, with an alcohol infused espresso mocha taste left to settle in on the taste buds.
Mouthfeel was full in body with an oily, dry texture and a very soft carbonation.
Overall this was a very impressive brew, one which possessed a ton of flavor and a smooth easy drinkability. I believe I will buy another just to age, a brew like this can only get better and better...

UPDATED: NOV 15, 2012 Black,dark tan/brown head.
Herbal pine aroma on top of a viscous stout of chocolate, woody, berry.
Taste is big chocolate, roast, woody, berry, dry oak barell, big piney, earthy hops, big woody roasty but smooth not harsh, but strong malty smooth dark malts.Think this is maybe 6 -9 mo or less aged.Really good strong stout that hides alcohol but still shows its robust strength. Rich but not too sweet, dry roasty but very smooth as hell and slickish. Strong hop balancing its malt and alcohol. Unless Im just a big russian stout fan(loved most of them),which Im not really even a big stout guy, this is prettty spectacular for a 12.5%er. Well done for an abv this big. This beer is sexier than you may know, too.

Full bodied stout. Lots of flavor, including grapes, coffee, and hops, that blend together in a changing beer. Could be a little smoother.

Black. Need I say more? Nope. Nice looking one finger dark mocha colored head. Good body to it. Spotty lacing and lots of ABV legs.
Dark fruits, chocolate, char, fudge and burnt nuts. Lots of roasted malts. Very nice nose. Drier in the smell than I expected it to be.
Coco, dark, bitter chocolate, dark fruits, some char and burnt tires. Slightly sweet and bitter.
Quite smooth in the mouth. Then comes the hammer of char and burnt tires. Quite nice. Lots of dark coco and chocolate. Fruit sweetness gives it an nice feel as well. . ABV very present. Dry with a dark fruit fruit finish. Very nice.
Big, bold beer. Like how balanced it is between dry and fruity. Good stuff
