4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A small light brown to tan head which changes quick into a half open lacing on top of a black colored beer.
Smell roast, coffee roast, dark chocolate, manure, chocolate roast, roasted barleys. Nice!
Taste is strong bitter, spicy, dark chocolate, lots of roast, roasted barley malts, coal, smoke.
Aftertaste is dark ’n bitter with some roast, chocolate and malts.
Low to medium carbo, soft creamy light spicy mouthfeel, full body and a creamy texture.
Very good balanced, lot of roast and nice bitterness.
Maybe a bit of a cliche beer, but it’s very well executed!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rating #769, bottle from Toft Vin. A pitchblack beer with a minor head. Aroma is very roasted with smoke, cheese and a bunch of chocolate. Flavor of roasted chocolate, sweet chocolate, a lot of bitterness all the time and pretty obvious alcohol in the finish. Aftertaste of smoke and sweet chocolate. Good balance between bitterness and sweetness, but the beer might not be as complex, exciting and innovative as other impys i’ve had. Well tasting, though. Magnificent palate - very soft, thick and with perfect amount of carbonation.

From a bomber, black pour, light brown head. Coffee and chocolate in the aroma, maybe some cherry and a little oak, taste has a lot of dark chocolate and roast and a little boozy flavor on the after taste. Enjoyable.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a dark black cherry, with a finger of platinum tan head that leaves little lacing. Nose is of brown sugar, roasted malts, black licorice, a bit of alcohol, and a slight musk of tobacco. The taste starts off with your typical heavily roasted malts, then kicks into a deep, sugary espresso. The booze, and brown sugary sweetness keep the bitterness of the lightly charred barley at bay, creating a deep boozy Russian imperial stout. The hops are moderately infused, but kept throughout as a simple highlight. The carbonation is low, but still maintains a spritely mouthfeel.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle... Black w/ small, creamy, deeply-tanned. Aroma is scorched almonds and pistaschios, singed caramel, blueberries and charred malts. Medium to full-bodied w/ tingly carbonation. Flavor is burnt caramel and tree nuts with a touch of cardboard oxidation that not assertive enough to be off-putting. Finishes burnt and bitter and a smidge hot. TWPBG

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, bought @ Ølbutikken, Cph. Completely black with a medium, creamy, beige head. Aroma has luscious chocolate, vinious, soft ground coffee. Light hazelnuts. Medium carbonation, fine creamy and light dry mouthfeel. Flavour has light chocolate, liquorice, light coffee, quite vinious. Some port character. Light bitter finish. The alcohol does dominate a bit, sadly.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 beers this beer poured a black color with a medium sized dark brown head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was roasty malts, anise, port wine and a hint of vanilla. The flavor was bitter and roasty with notes of cherry, port wine, licorice, tobacco and a pervading boozy presence. The finish was long, bitter and roasty with licorice, port and tobacco lingering and a booziness that would not go away. Fairly full bodied. Interesting.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours pitch black with a small tan head which quickly disappears. Nose is seductive and dark with a nice sweetness behind the bold notes. Very ashy and charcoal like with some heavy vanilla behind it all which rounds it off nicely. Some heavy bitter dark chocolate tones play the major role. The bitter choocolate comes through massively in the taste with a touch of espresso giving it a sort of mocha feel to it. Lots of burnt notes - ash, charcoal, roast. The 12.5% is hidden superbly. A good drop

Bottle share by alexsdad06. Poured black color with an average creamy light brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate, earthy with a small alcohol aroma. Median to full body with a creamy texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted sweet chocolate malt flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of long duration. This is a standout beer.
