3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
650cl bottle. Bbe 2014-12-17. @hotel room, Stockholm with the IT guru Jookos, ratebeer fame. Black, brown head. Coffee, dark chocolate in aroma, roastedness. Smooth stuff. Mild smoky, roasty, musty and quite dry. Long finish too dry, otherwise decent. Hides the abv decent.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottle. black, mocha head. black dark roasty fleshy. a green herby spine though. pretty intensive. full bodied, sort of a soft touch. just nicely bittered, wipes the excessive sweets off without drying the palate. coffee, roasty smokeyness. nice one. smooth, flavourful. nice palate.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black with a tan head. Holy crap this is good. Thick velvety body with delicious chocolate, coffe and licorice notes that change flavors as it warms. A ridiculously high ABV that does not give off much burn or alcohol flavor (careful). Props as well for the name.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
"pretty nice brew. a little abrasive, perhaps, moreso because of the hops and overall flavor than because it’s 12.5% (which is actually covered quite nicely). lots of chocolate malt flavor and aroma, coffee, molasses, and roast. smoother as it gets warmer."

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber. An opaque black beer , with a large, frothy, lacing, mostly lasting brown head. The aroma is moderately to heavily malty (roasted grain, coffee, chocolate), moderately hoppy (grapefruit, resin), with notes of alcohol, sugar, hint of vanilla. The flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Full body, creamy/oily texture, soft carbonation, very long finish with heavy bitterness, moderately to heavily alcoholic. Extremely powerful and fairly tasty, but, if on one hand the initial sweetness is balanced by a huge final bitterness, this last one is raw, sharp to the point of being scraping and one-dimensional. Not much wrong here objectively speaking, and the good average rating speaks for itself, but Clown Shoes has made better stouts (UNdead Party and Chocolate Sombrero) in my humble opinion.

650 ml bottle from systembolaget bs. Pours black with big brown head. Roasted coffee aroma with loads of coffee taste. Chocolate and some vanilla notes. A bit raw finish with a very bitter after taste. Really nice, but a bit unballanced.
