What should we call our Russian Imperial Stout? Black Unicorn? Soul Dragon? Nohhh. Let’s combine them and create the ultimate mythical creature: Blaecorn Unidragon.

Imbued with a monstrous amount of dark malt and aggressive hops, Blaecorn Unidragon is a powerful and complex brew designed to improve with age.

UPDATED: NOV 15, 2012 Black, dark tan/brown head. Herbal pine aroma on top of a viscous stout of chocolate, woody, berry. Taste is big chocolate, roast, woody, berry, dry oak barell, big piney, earthy hops, big woody roasty but smooth not harsh, but strong malty smooth dark malts.Think this is maybe 6 -9 mo or less aged.Really good strong stout that hides alcohol but still shows its robust strength. Rich but not too sweet, dry roasty but very smooth as hell and slickish. Strong hop balancing its malt and alcohol. Unless Im just a big russian stout fan(loved most of them),which Im not really even a big stout guy, this is prettty spectacular for a 12.5%er. Well done for an abv this big. This beer is sexier than you may know, too.

Bottle to snifter. Appearance: dark black color, thick, dark brown head, lasts a while then fades to a nice lacing. Aroma: toasted barley, toasted almonds and other nuts. Grapes, Red wine. Taste is dark fruits up front, coffee in the finish. Also some dark chocolate and a wine/brandy taste. Tasty. After a while, a burnt taste catches up to you. Feel: Smooth. Medium carbonation. Very nice beer. Slowly becoming a big fan of Clown Shoes.

2014 bottle. Pours a thick black color with a dense frothy brown head that settles into a light cap. The aroma is big roasted malt with some mellow milk chocolate notes, along with some scorched caramel and powdered cocoa. Taste has loads of malts, molasses, semi sweet chocolate, and nice hops with citrus undertones and coffee. Very well balanced and rounded. Thicker body, smooth, light carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Drucken på Bishops. Allt är för mycket malt, kroppen för tunn. Hade behövt mer av något annat. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours black with a thick caramel head that leaves nice lacing in the glass. Aroma is prominent when the beer is ice old. It’s a strong alcohol and roasted malt on the nose when cold. As it warms the aroma disappears. Taste is full of alcohol bitterness at first and then a ton of coffee and roasted malt. Seems to be a fair bit of dark chocolate on the tongue as well. This is a fine Russian imperial.

23.10.2014. Aroma of sweet roasted malts. Very intense taste has roasted malts, coffee but also sweetness I often like in IS. It is maybe rather simple yet tasty.

Draft. How does a beer this big and this tasty have zero aroma?! Weird. Flavors of milk, ristretto, a bit of raisin and a bit of chocolate. Finish is sudden and dry. No hint of alcohol. Almost a summery imperial stout! Probably outperforming its rating.

This stout lover was pleased. Like Old Rasputin on steroids. I did expect a more intense aroma, but its hard to find fault.
