4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: NOV 15, 2012 Black,dark tan/brown head.
Herbal pine aroma on top of a viscous stout of chocolate, woody, berry.
Taste is big chocolate, roast, woody, berry, dry oak barell, big piney, earthy hops, big woody roasty but smooth not harsh, but strong malty smooth dark malts.Think this is maybe 6 -9 mo or less aged.Really good strong stout that hides alcohol but still shows its robust strength. Rich but not too sweet, dry roasty but very smooth as hell and slickish. Strong hop balancing its malt and alcohol. Unless Im just a big russian stout fan(loved most of them),which Im not really even a big stout guy, this is prettty spectacular for a 12.5%er. Well done for an abv this big. This beer is sexier than you may know, too.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a nearly opaque very dark brown, with cola brown glints around the bottom edge when held to the light. A stubborn caramelized-colored, root-beer float-type head is noted. Iíve never seen a beer lace the glass this much. Dark chocolate, olive, and a bit of wet ashtray smoke on the nose. Mouthfeel is coating and moderately viscous. Very little carbonation, which is preferred for this style. Some sweet lactose at the beginning, yielding quickly to a bit of a sour olive, then back to creamy lactose on the back of the tongue. Coffee bitterness and smokiness underlies all of it.

Draft. Blackish beer with a dark cream head. Light smoke and toffee aroma. Smoke and toffee flavor. Medium bodied. Smoke lingers with toffee/caramel.

Nice stout. The aroma was of malt and alcohol and a little medicinal. The color was black with a hint of brown and very little head. The palate above average and the feel was oily. There was a coating at the back of the throat. Good carbonation for the style. The first sip was very malty followed by chocolate and coffee. Alcohol was present at the finish. Well rounded; however, the hops presence was a little mild. Worth a second visit.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
It poured inky black, with not much of a tan head which left minimal lacing. The nose was molasses, chocolate and faint wisps of resiny hops. There is a subtle smokiness which blends nicely with the rich, dark flavors (think of a bourbon soaked coffee bean with chocolate). Seriously, it starts off like an adultís chocolate milk. Rich, smooth with a black patent malt flavor, heavy dark hops, with a hint of maple.

Bomber from Country Club Liquors. Nose is chocolate with smaller coffee and roasted notes along with a tiny hint of vanilla. Black with a medium cinnamon colored head. Flavor is chocolate, light sweetness, a hint of background bitter, and a peppery note. Quite good impy.

Bottle @ Ben and Gregís place. Happy birthday to a chill bro. Pours a deep brown/black appearance with a dark brown head. Anise, dark chocolate, roasty aroma. Fairly thick, slightly boozy, a bit earthy, dark chocolate, mild coffee flavor. Pretty Fucken Smooth.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very good imperial Russian stout that is not too sweet. Very rich and smooth with a chewy mouthfeel that satisfies the taste buds and the 12.5% ABV is so well hidden compared to other beers of this class. This is a very nice brew that is less sweet and more hoppy then the American Stout by Clown Shoes and way better in taste and mouthfeel.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Roasted coffee aroma that comes through in the flavor pretty significantly. Past that getting a bit of bittersweet chocolate flavor and a milk chocolate finish. Nice drink but lacks some of the depth body and complexity of the stars in this style.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours dark black with small dark heard out of bottle. Smell of coffee and chocolate. Chocolate taste but not as strong as anticipated. This is a great beer but could definitely sneak up on you at 12.5% abv

Cool name! Really wished it lived up to it. A bit too bitter for my taste. Good lacing, but a weak head. Dark color which fooled me into thinking it would be richer than it was.
