This exotic stout is a relative of Chocolate Sombrero, with the Mexican spices replaced by the flavors of chai tea: ginger, caramom, cinnamon and vanilla. Dear head banging craft beer drinkers, please remember, "Our love for you is like a truck... BERSERKER!"

22oz bomber pours with a nice dark body that supports a full tall mocha colored head of foam. The aroma offers up dark fruity esters like dates and blueberries along with cinnamon, sweetened ginger, a good load of chocolate and then whispers of dark roasted malts. The taste starts with some velvety dark chocolate and then it quickly picks up a thin dark roasted maltiness. To midway the sweet dark fruity esters come to the surface with a firm mix of dates and prunes to go along with cinnamon and ginger like spiciness. This is pretty nice but the fruitiness is a little too forward for me.

A unique stout, no question. The usual super-dark brown almost black color. Aroma is....ginger and cocoa I suppose? Taste is definitely ginger, cocoa and cinnamon. The ginger jumps out the most and gives it a spicy bite. The ginger hangs on the tongue well after. Worth a try, but probably not worth a repeat.

Bottle served in snifter: Uniqueness is the name of the game Strong influence of chai tea, ginger snaps and cinnamon buns over a layer of roast and dark chocolate. The mouth feel is weak and watery however plus theres a slight green apple undertone as well. Overall it is good but could be so much better.

Bottle shared at BD Sheps - London. Thanks, guys! Pours clear brown with a beige cream head. Big chocolate aroma with striking ginger. Medium sweet with nice chocolate character, more spicy ginger, some mint essence. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderately sweet to finish with light earthy bitterness, lasting ginger and cocoa. I really like when cocoa and ginger get mixed in a beer; I just think it works well.

Brewdog Shepherds Bush. Bottle share with Jackie, Simon and David. Opaque dark brown - black beer. Small pale tan head. A nose of potpourri and those nibbles you get waiting for your Indian restaurant takeaway. Palate is soft and airy with superfine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, little cream. Mild spicy floral flavours that follow the nose. Finishes light and soft. A pleasantly mellow spiced Impy that is also light on its toes. Nice.

Overall a really solid but really weird brew. Tons of ginger and cardamom in the nose and taste. Some vanilla and roast coffee coming through. Worth a purchase if you see it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bottle. Smallish tan head atop cola dark brown body. Aroma is moderately sweet, bittersweet chocolate, cinnamon/hot pepper, light roast, coffee. Taste is sweet, bittersweet chocolate, some vanilla, ginger, light roast, milk chocolate. Medium-full body, some stickiness. A bit too sweet for my tastes.

Excelente cerveza, cabeza color avellana, profundo color oscuro, aromas intenso a cacao, licor de cafe, como si mordieras un biscocho de chocolate envinado, sensacional paladar robusto de cuerpo, y gran sedosidad, muy recomendable.

Bomber from Imbibe Wine. Nose is light chocolate, heavy ginger, cinnamon, and a hint of vanilla. Black with a medium, lightly lacing cinnamon tan head. Flavor is spicy, chocolatey, and a mild bitterness. Very spicy

Bottle, 22oz. It pours a small, dense, firm dark beige head over a next to black body. The aroma has lots of coffee escaping the glass at first, soon getting company by molasses, woody notes and a pleasant spiced touch which somehow leads my thoughs to cloves. Ginger too is pretty easy to spot. Some chocolate as well, but thats more evident in the flavor. Spices, coffee and molasses are the dominating flavors, both bitterness and alcohol are subdued. Its full bodied and soft on the palate, very low on warmth considering the ABV. Lasting sweet coffee, molasses and spice finish. A very tasteful one, with a clever use of spices, but Id say a 12oz bottle would be sufficient. 140514

"Pours a deep sable with a thick, if not too persistent, chocolate-tan head. Roast malt aroma has an overtone of horehound plus notes of caramel and chocolate, plus a hint of yeast. Flavor has bold coffee, roast malt and semi-sweet chocolate notes with underpinnings of caramel and licorice, plus a hint of woody hops. Texture is viscous and smooth, though fizz leaves a bit to be desired. Go berserk in Bombay - or Atlanta, or Detroit, or Toronto, or wherever you are!"
