COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Got them fancy clothes. Got that big car, suicide doors, 8 track stereo, color TV’s. Livin’ the American dream, now you’ve got a brew as smooth as a chorus from Al Green. Brash Brewing and Clown Shoes each made a brown ale at Mercury, then blended them. You don’t have to have solid gold pants to enjoy, but it helps.

22 oz, bottled 6/2012. Deep brown with creamy tan foam. Nose is brown sugar, molasses, hay and coffee grounds. Seductively silky with a sharp tang ending bitter and ashy. Taste is dark chocolate, dark roast and burnt sugar with swirls of dark fruit. A jacked up brown; i like it.

Dark brown. Ruby highlights. Tan, creamy head. Plenty of lacing. Malty aroma, nuts, caramel. Malty taste with a creamy mouthfeel. Nutty and chocolatey. Not bad.

Bomber bomber. Very dark brown color. Aroma is thick roasted malt, caramel, cocoa, molasses. Some warming alcohol. Huge malty caramel body. Medium bodied on heavy side. Creamy texture. A bit of bitterness at end. A big malty beer.

Deep dark brown with two fingers of beige head. Looks great. Aroma is a little weak, toasted nuts, slight roasted malts that yield a mellow coffee notes. Taste rolls around the tongue much like the aroma. This is pretty much just it comes billed as, a double brown ale. I actually liked it quite a bit at first, but as it warmed it became too boozy. If that was better balanced this would be very impressive. As it is, pretty good.

22oz bomber. Pours a thick dark brown color with a finger of foamy tan head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, and roasted nuts. Taste is creamy, boozy, caramel, coffee, chocolate, and roasted nuts. Seems more like a light RIS then a brown ale.

This beer might be too big for its britches. I like brown ales but this one comes off a bit harsh and muddled. alcohol is present and abrasive. There is a nice sweet toastyness that is great but is detracted from by heavy booze.
