COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Got them fancy clothes. Got that big car, suicide doors, 8 track stereo, color TV’s. Livin’ the American dream, now you’ve got a brew as smooth as a chorus from Al Green. Brash Brewing and Clown Shoes each made a brown ale at Mercury, then blended them. You don’t have to have solid gold pants to enjoy, but it helps.

Something just seems a little off. More of a chocolate taste than coffee. Not bad, but much better stouts out there. (I know it's called a double brown but seems like a stout to me) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark brown with a small brown head. Nose is roasted coffee, brown sugar, nuts, little booze. The taste is sweet with some nice bitterness. The mouthfeel is crisp and clean, the body is light and the finish is long. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at thirdeye11’s birthday party. Brown with a white head. The aroma has a lot of nuttiness with some lightly toasted malt and brown sugar. The flavor is more of the same. I get some nice nutty character, as well as some molasses, cream and toasted malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Sampled at an esbls tasting. Dark nrown with red. A beige head. Lots of spices here. Hops are citrus and fairly big, too. A nice beer that has an "in your face" aspect. I like it.

ellolovey (288) - Georgia, USA - JAN 17, 2013
22 oz bottle. Pours a dark murky brown with a quickly disappating tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, and caramel. Taste is dominated by nice roasted malts and hints of caramel and vanilla. Bittersweet cocoa on the backbone. A bit boozy. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Alcohol definitely warms you up. Perfect on this wet cold night. Sticky bitter finish.

Pours clear dark brown with ruby highlights under a thick frothy tan head. The aroma is soft sweet malts and cocoa powder with a touch of marshmallow. The flavor is sweet but with a roast malt bitterness keeping the sweetness well reined in. Complex in it’s own strange way. It does hide it’s alcohol well.

JCB (3859) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - DEC 19, 2012
Bomber from Total Wine, Durham. Roiling dark brown cola pour, with a thick, chalky head. Strong hops and what seem like toasted cinnamon malts in the nose, somethign dry and nutty in there too. Thick and lively carbonation, nothing cloying about the mouthfeel despite the heaviness. Taste is imperial hoppy brown crossed with Christmas cookie, loads of toasted malts, caramel, all back up by ridiculous hopping. Warming, deceptively easy drinker, pretty good all around.
