COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Got them fancy clothes. Got that big car, suicide doors, 8 track stereo, color TV’s. Livin’ the American dream, now you’ve got a brew as smooth as a chorus from Al Green. Brash Brewing and Clown Shoes each made a brown ale at Mercury, then blended them. You don’t have to have solid gold pants to enjoy, but it helps.

UPDATED: OCT 22, 2012
Location: Bottle from Norm’s shared by jcos, 10/20/12

Aroma: This one has a nose of dark malts, roast, dark fruit, and some bread
Appearance: The pour is dark brown, with a beige head, and heavily spotty lace
Flavor: The taste is fairly malty, roasty, a little nutty, and a little earthy hop bitterness
Palate: The body is medium-plus, it has an average carbonation, some astringency, and a lightly dry finish
Overall Impression: This one is a decent beer, it feels a bit muddled, but it is definitely decent. I would drink it again for sure, though I felt like it could have been a bit better.

Location/Date:Bottle shared with Ben on October 20th, 2012.

Appearance: Pours a dark black with white foamy head.
Aroma: Aroma of caramel malt, faint sweet.
Taste: Faint bitterness, caramel malt, faint roast, faint boozyness, maybe a little chocolate on the end.
Palate:Medium body, lingering aftertaste, faint booziness, a little fizz.

Summary: Pretty solid beer, and first beer I’ve had that Brash has contributed to. Solid beer, but nothing really exciting about it.

Bottle. Moderate to heavy malt aromas of roasted, nutty, milk chocolate and strong coffee, light to moderate pine and resin for the hops, earth for the yeast, with notes of wood and charcoal. Head is average size, fizzy/frothy, beige with a few spots of lacing and is mostly diminshing. color is very dark mahogany. Flavor starts lightly to moderatelt sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and acidic and heavily bitter. Palate is medium to full, creamy with a lively to fizzy carbonation and a finish that is chalkt, moderately to heavily alcoholic and has a sticky and black coffee texture. A whoel bunch of malts jump out at the first whiff, then sharp hops follow, then...oof! a whole bunch of bitterness and alcohol.

This is pretty good. Plenty of hops, no nut flavor. Which is good. Tons of hops yet doesn’t seem like ten percent. A little sweet and creamy. Good stuff.

On draft at Stanziato’s in Danbury, CT. Mix between an imperial stout and a boozy brown ale. Has that distinctive English finish tht you’d expect to find I something like a Sammy smith nut brown ale. Sneakily a 10% brew. Went with pizza. Not an overpowering or overly heavy beer, as it’s caramel brown hue would suggest. Clown Shoes is legit.

Very solid, bold, yet smooth double brown. Very much like a hoppy imperial IPA but has more caramel/stout/porter flavors going on. Pretty much is a beer that you will love or hate. I think it is pretty good.
