Bomber 2011 vintage poured a clear reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, ciutrus, light pine asnd light cardboard. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness, nuts, light grapefruit and light cardboard with a smooth bitter lingering earthy finish. I’d like to try a fresh bottle, I can’t beleive Half Time sent me a year old bottle!

From a growler picked up at a whole food in Virginia. Aroma is pleasently malty with some light hop notes. Lots of good malt character. Flavor follows through with the promise. Malty but not overly sweet. Great hop balance. Really impressive brown ale.

Bottle shared with Leighton and James in Delirium Hoppy Loft. It pours very dark brown, with a thick beige head. The nose is molasses, pine, treacle and earth. The taste is caramel, pine, leather, leaf, earth, resin and some alcohol warmth, with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not overly complex, but easy drinking nonetheless.

On draft at Good Beer. A very nice BA. It is malty and bready, but still effectively hopped. A good balance and a good taste.

Bottle shared with Paul and James at Delirium Hoppy Loft, Brussels, late on Saturday night (Sunday morning) during the pre-wedding celebration. Pours brown with a thick, off-white foam. Bit of toast and leafy hops in the nose. Decent flavor, medium sweet, with toast, dry caramel, bit of bread, mild dirt and leaves. Medium bodied with average to high carbonation. Mild dry finish, some toasted leaves, light cocoa and caramel. Doesn’t blow me away, but it’s OK. Some lingering dirty, floral bitterness.

Has floral and light pine aroma. Pours a dark mahogany brown with a thick, lasting tan head. Has some coffee-like character but the resiny hops dominate in the favor. Not picking up much from the amarillo. Although an American brown, pushes towards a black IPA. Carbonation is a little prickly and strong. Medium mouthfeel. Bitterness in a fairly long finish.
