COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brown Angel comes at you with three levels. At the heart the beer is layer upon layer of pure, delicious malt. Columbus and Amarillo hops add an intense hop presence while a final layer of East Kent Goldings delivers a delicate floral finish. This is NOT your old school brown, but a rather sexy American interpretation.

Bomber, bottled March 2011. Pours slightly hazy, very dark orange and red, with a small latte-colored head. Aromas of pine, earth, cocoa, and dark roasty malt. The flavor is spicy pine and slightly bitter dirt and bark. Smooth, with medium carbonation and body. Good stuff. [643]

651mL thanks to nmann08. Pours a clear, raspberry ruby with a tan head leaving some big, sheety lace. Aroma is 100% acetaldehyde. Text book brewing flaw. All bruised, red apples and green apples. Taste is spicy, bitter, lemon, spice, some chocolate and roasted malt bitter. Watery mouthfeel.

New entry to Chicago, lets check this out... A nice looking beer, a dark brown wit h a great light tan head that has lacing for miles... light aroma, nutty smoke, roast, if stronger would really enjoy... the taste has tons of hoppy, a really nice hope brown. roast and nut are gone through, tastes like an ipa with a bit of caramel

Sweet toffee nose with raisins and just a hint of plastic-y green beer. Taste is moderately sweet, moderately bitter, a bit metallic, some toffee, some raisins.

Aroma is chocolate: oily ans syrupy. Crumbly cookies, slightly burnt. Hint of roasted plums. The fluffy meringue of of head lasts forever. Brownish brick red. Thick and cloudy. Head is astounding. Scant lace. Dates, plum, raisin flavors. A chocolatey base, roasted, nutty and well-malted. Hazelnut. Sweetish finish, with can sugars. Feels oily, buttery smooth. Creamy and milky. Touch of pleasant grit. A really beautifully balanced beer: by turns roasted, nutty and slightly sweet.

22oz bottle in a shaker. Pours opaque brown with a lacy, light tan head. Aroma of caramel and cereal, but the hops are strong with a hint of citrus and floral notes. This is a really hoppy brown ale with a strong caramel malt presence. Average texture. Probably one of the best brown ales I’ve had.
