COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brown Angel comes at you with three levels. At the heart the beer is layer upon layer of pure, delicious malt. Columbus and Amarillo hops add an intense hop presence while a final layer of East Kent Goldings delivers a delicate floral finish. This is NOT your old school brown, but a rather sexy American interpretation.

This excellent ale is medium to full bodied. Caramelized malt is neither too light nor too burned. Excellent hops create a nice balance with the malt, creating a distinctive taste. Excellent.

Good brown ale would be lying if I say its bad, but for my taste its not welcome as one of my favorites but whoever love this kind of beers (brown and malt) would love it

65 cl bottle @ home. Pours brown with some sediment and an off-white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma and flavour are roasted malt, coffee, nuts, and citrus - with a bitter finish.

22oz bottle. Dark brown with a frothy, off white head. Nutty, earthy aroma with a slight sourness. Nutty, roasted malt flavor with a balanced hop bitterness in the finish along with a trace of alcohol. Creamy texture and well carbonated. A nice, slow drinking beer.

Dark brown with cream head on the pour. Nutty malt aromas linger throughout. A mix of bitter and smokey nuts flavor and a clean dry light hoppy finish.

Pours a finger and half of light tan head on a brown body. The aroma is extra nutty, roasted and toasted malt and a touch of lemon. The taste is a well rounded roasted malt and chocolate flavor. There’s some mild bitterness in the middle to balance it out. The texture is smooth and soft. It tends towards the sweeter side, but it’s really good.

22oz bomber. Quite good overall, highly recommended. Pours a rich brown with a nice little white head. Aroma is very earthy, hoppy and strong! Bitter flavor, but well-rounded and pleasant on the tongue. Smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel - great! I’d love to find it on tap somewhere!

19-month aged bottle. I’ve never had it fresh, but I am pretty sure the aging has changed this beer in some very interesting and wonderful ways. It’s not at all what I expected, very heavy on the funk/brett flavor, with lots of Belgian character. Fairly sour. The hops are pretty subdued. Plenty of caramel and roasted malt. Thick creamy head. Chewy, sticky palate.

4/27/2014. 22 oz. bottle. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Hoppy and malty aromas with dark fruit, caramel, molasses and light spice. Good balance between hops and malt.

Cola brown. Nice rich nuttiness, a little spice from the alcohol. Pretty tasty beer.
