4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: MAR 2, 2015 Pretty damn fine gear here buster. Whopping hop jazz funk amidst the malty charms. A head big enough to mimic a bosom. Floral as claimed. Chewy toffee. Medium power bite. Norman this is a contender.

Bottle from craft. This was a great representation of a brown ale. Nutty, roasted, hop, coffee and dry , baking chocolate. Nice rich finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
650 ml bottle, paid $8.99 at Tuckaway Tavern and Butcher Shop. ( Every single bomber at Tuckaway was priced the same no matter the style, very odd piece system) deep brown color with thin bubbly head and lace. Aroma is what I was expecting, burnt molasses, roasted nuts, chocolate and some light citrus hops.
The flavor is a carbon copy of the aroma. The texture has a nice creamy texture with a lingering sweet malt/ molasses finish. The bittering citrus hops make it pretty well balanced. Overall, very nice for a standard style.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is like a bakery, fresh bread, rye/pumperknickel/sourdough.
Appearance: dark brown, tannish head. Looks delicious.
Taste: caramel, some yeast, more Bread. Hint of raisin or some dark fruit. Very nice
Feel is A little flat, muddy.
Really nice brown ale. I’d buy this again.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Brown pour with copper hues. Clinging off white head lace. Aroma is roasted malt, nutty, with a hinto chocolate. Flavor is light sweet chocolate malt, roasty, nutty, and a bito citrus zest. Medium bodied with good carbonation. The medium bitter lingers in a pleasent way for quite a bit. Nice beer all round.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Decent nutty malt and slightly hoppy aroma. Soft brown color with a medium head. Hoppier than most brown ales that was balanced by a roasted and nutty malt base. Good and nice to see them go off their standard beers.

Dark brown pour. 1" white head. Sweet aroma. Nice balance between the malts and hops. My first Clown Shoes, not the last.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz bottle at home. Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted malts, chocolate, earthy, mild resiny hops, woody, some brown sugar sweetness, decent take on a style that is typically very boring.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Full bodied with a beautiful blend of dark malts - this is the kind of brown ale I like. Leather toffee nose. Rich round bitter chocolate cake mouth (slight alcohol taste) with a lightly bitter finish. A truly exceptional example of this style.
