bottle. deep brown pour with a medium sized, whipped tan head. nose of caramel and nuts but not as brown as it looks. notes of cola. flavor has light nuts and caramel with handful of melted milk chocolate. i do like the chocolate flavors, but i really like more nutty/toasted notes in browns. the floral finish pretty nice. overall, i like the idea but a few tweaks would work better for me personally. one of their better offerings though.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz bomber from another trade with simth4498, thanks Jason. Poured an ugly muddy orange/brown with a tiny foamy beige head. Aroma reminds me of a black IPA with the strong hop prescence over a solid malt body. Citrus hops, yellow grapefruit meat, tootsie roll, brown toast crust. Flavor of chocolate, tootsie roll, hard roll, citrus rind, grapefruit. Nice body with stonger carbonation over a slightly watery body, strong biter finish that lingers. This is yet another good beer from Clown Shoes.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber shared with Sammy and friends. Pours brown with a massive head that laced the glass. Some chestnut, coffee and toasted brown sugar in the aroma. Taste of assorted nuts, brown sugar, caramel toffee, some hops, bitter coffee with cream - quite tasty. Bitter aftertaste. Very drinkable. Not quite what I would expect for the style.
