COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brown Angel comes at you with three levels. At the heart the beer is layer upon layer of pure, delicious malt. Columbus and Amarillo hops add an intense hop presence while a final layer of East Kent Goldings delivers a delicate floral finish. This is NOT your old school brown, but a rather sexy American interpretation.

Bottle. Pours clear brown with a large, creamy beige head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma and flavor are heavy malt (bread, cookie, nutty), earthy and woody hops, dates, and wood notes. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation with a dry finish.

hopscotch (9041) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 2, 2010
UPDATED: JUN 3, 2010 Bottle… Clear, dirty orange ale with a huge, frothy, white head that diminishes to a small, tight, white cap that is in no hurry to go anywhere anytime soon. Strange, but enjoyable, aroma – tangerine, toasted nuts and milk chocolate. Medium-bodied and raspy with prickly carbonation. The flavor is all about milk chocolate, bitter orange peel and gentle, citric acidity. Finishes chocolaty and fairly bitter with a rumor of tartness. Definitely infected, but may God bless whatever bug is in here. Took a boring, used-up style and made it relevant.

Tap @ Black Bottle Fort Collins. Pours a dark orangish brown appearance with a brown head. Caramel, a bit nutty, toasty malty, somewhat earthy aroma. Moderately sweet, a touch smoky, burnt caramel malty, nutty flavor. Pretty tasty.

Bomber from Premiere. A sweet aroma. Enormous soapy head, lacey. Long bitter finish. In a word: nutty brown. Very drinkable Hops and malting is so balanced. Better than its rating in the sense that I would serve this regular to people if available down the street. Great for the style.

651mL thanks to nmann08. Pours a clear, raspberry ruby with a tan head leaving some big, sheety lace. Aroma is 100% acetaldehyde. Text book brewing flaw. All bruised, red apples and green apples. Taste is spicy, bitter, lemon, spice, some chocolate and roasted malt bitter. Watery mouthfeel.

This rating is dedicated to Candice Alstrom, who really needs to re-evaluate who she is as a person. Served on cask at Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA, on 6/13/11. Pours a hazy brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of citrus, dark malts and earthy, citrus hops. The taste is citrus hops, chocolate and some roastiness. Medium bodied.

Bottle. Pours a lovely dark brown with tan head. Nice lacing. Nose/taste of mixed nuts, burnt and roasted malt and some caramel notes. Some juicy citrus mixed in on the mouth feel. Finishes a bit dry. Medium body. Nice beer.

650ml bottle I brought @ ZZT III. Very nice red colored beer with a full sized ogg-white to beige head. Smell malts, dark malts, hops, caramel, coffee, dark chocolate. After a while some ash and some sweetness comes up. Taste malts, hops, caramel, lightly coffee, chocolate. Very nice beer. Medium carbo, medium body.

BMan1113VR (7853) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 24, 2011
Bottle (bottled 8/11 and consumed early to mid 11/11). Pours with a muddy brown body with an off-white head that fades quickly. Aromas are grassy, vegital, brown sugar, huge apple esters, roast, oats/cereal grain, some fruit hop notes. Messy. Flavors are roasty, bitter, light fruit, coffee, acrid, bready and chalky. Medium to lively bubbles, thin and astringent. Not good (hopefully just this bottling run).

Dogbrick (7839) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 16, 2010
UPDATED: JUL 22, 2010 Sample from a bottle shared by Brad at Jackie O’s as part of Ohio Brew Week. The beer is a clear amber-orange color with a medium frothy off-white head that burns away quickly. Sticky rings of lacing. Aroma of toasted bread and caramel malt. Medium body with flavors of sweet toasted malt, milk chocolate and some fruit. The finish is sweet and malty, with a very light hops aftertaste. Just average overall.
