COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brown Angel comes at you with three levels. At the heart the beer is layer upon layer of pure, delicious malt. Columbus and Amarillo hops add an intense hop presence while a final layer of East Kent Goldings delivers a delicate floral finish. This is NOT your old school brown, but a rather sexy American interpretation.

Dark brown with light quick settling foam. Dry dusty malt with strong hops. Brown ale or or black IPA? Strong flavour is a little much perhaps for a patio but it screams for a good food pairing. Small samples maybe the order of the day. Well crafted.

650ml bottle pours a dark brown color with a huge off-white head that leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is grapefruit and pine with some roasted grains and chocolate. Taste is a bold grapefruit and pine hop and roasted grain bitterness balanced nicely with a chocolate malty sweetness. Medium bodied with nice carbonation leaving a pleasant sensation on the palate. A tasty, enjoyable brew that I recommend highly.

Had this one on draught after my shift at work last night.
Pours a dark brown with a respectable head and decent lacing on the glass.

The aroma is almost sort of woody, it’s got chocolate, hoppiness, nuttiness... all that, but the wood and the alcohol are sort of the driving aromas.

The flavor continues the theme of wood and booze... again chocolate & nuttiness are enjoyable & the hoppiness is enjoyably forward. The sweetness is decidedly low on this one for what we’ve come to expect from an imperial brown, and that’s pretty cool.

For a big beer like it is, the palate is very tame, drinkable, with a well suited low carbonation.

From a bottle. Pours rich brown with a foamy tan head and lots of lacing. Tastes like sweet, dry, nutty malt with light alcohol and toffee notes. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like booze, roasted malt, and sweet cereal.
