Awesome balance of chocolate and roasted malts. Low hops what I like. Alcohol high but not over powering in the beer.

Dark coffee colored. Unfortunately, no head to speak of. Mouthfeel is a bit flat. Now, Im done complaining, because the beer tastes great! Bittersweet chocolate with slight coffee notes, a hint of vanilla and a slight peppery spiciness. A delicious balanced chocolate stout that isnt too sweet. The spiciness adds an interesting dimension. It was also priced competitively, so I will be adding this one to the rotation.

650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with moderate tan head. Aromas of sweet chocolate, piney hops, and spice. Flavors of chocolate, creamy coffee, light vanilla, and some hard to place spices. A little heat from the peppers but not distracting. I think this one has aged a bit... Great stuff.

Solid representation of a mexican hot chocolate. Nice aroma. Chocolately sweet with some spices. Spiced hot chocolate flavor. Would have liked to have felt some heat. Overall enjoyable.

22oz bottle @ home. Pours very dark brown, with a beige head. Roasted, spicy aroma, chocolate, cinnamon, pepper, vanilla, coffee, licorice, caramel, ash. Off-dry, full bodied, mid bitterness, balanced CO2. Spicy, roasted taste, chocolate, chili, cinnamon, caramel, hops, vanilla, faint smoke, ash. Well balanced, even though I would have preferred the flavouring elements to be a little more prominent. (2015-03-08)

This draft brew from a restaurant poured a head of foamy dark tan colored bubbles that were very long lasting and left behind a opaque dark black brown colored body and an excellent lacing. The nice aroma was brown malt chocolate and dark malt. The sharp mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish with a strong vinous aftertaste. The yummy flavor contained notes of roasted malt mild medicinal cloves vinous mild spice toasted malt burnt malt chocolate brown malt crisp and hops. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

Bottle, 10C. Very dark brown with a coat of tan head. Aroma of chocolate milk on the turn, molasses, cinnamon, pickled chiles. Bit of a harsh jerrycan whiff to it - which does dissipate. Lowish carbonation, oily. Not all that sweet tho it creeps up, plenty of chocolate and vanilla, nice cinnamon. Surprisingly after the aroma the chile is barely there until a little pluminess and heat right at the end. A bit dull.

Bottle at Downtown Austin Super 6. Pours an opaque black with no head. Sweet with aromas of vanilla and milk chocolate. Also notes of chilli as it warms in the glass (read Super 8 paper cup). Medium bodied. Medium to soft carbonation. Dry finish with aromas of dark chocolate. Dont drink this too cold.
