Bottle. Poured dark brown color with a moderate creamy light brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Medium to heavy toasted malt, hot spice with a small alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a creamy texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy dark toasted chocolate malt flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet & hot finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer.

Dark brown, bordering on black. Thin, white head, mostly a collar.
Cinnamon, lots of chocolate, small amounts of vanilla, and some ancho chile.
Besides the nice amounts of chocolate and malt the other flavors were quite muted.
Taste is like above. Lots of chocolate but the rest very muted. No chile heat and syrupy vanilla.
Lighter bodied and medium carbonation. For all the good ingredients not real well done.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty chocolate aroma with weak hints of coffee. Roasted malty chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate and coffee finish.

Draft, Costa Mesa Yardhouse. Little head left when served. Dark, but doesn’t appear "thick". Aroma of chocolate and molasses with s hint of cinnamon. Light body, alcohol leads the chocolate and indeterminate spices. Lingers a while. Good.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours pitch black with short tan head. Aroma is chocolate, big vanilla, cinnamon and spices. Taste lots of milk chocolate, touch of vanilla, light spice and lingering chili heat. Nice thick body. Ugly label, tasty beer!

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours heavy dark brown with a few light brown bubbles as a head. Nose is lots of vanilla and milk chocolate. There is quite a bit of spice on the back end of the aroma which would indicate the chili used. Vanilla swamps the nostrils with a touch of heat in there. Taste is rather balanced for all the ingredients used. Generous vanilla and milk chocolate at the fore front which slowly gets taken over by a driving spice note. It’s definitely chili on the finish, not hot just the flavour. There is a touch of heat but very minimal. It all works very well together. Mouth feel is a little thin but alcohol is hidden very well. Great stuff

Bomber from Imbibe Wine. Nose is chocolate, hints of cinnamon and vanilla. Black with a medium heavy lacing cinnamon tan head. Flavor is lightly sweet chocolate with a slight hint of pepperiness from the chiles.

Bomber from City Beer SF. Pours dark cola with a thin head, Aroma comes through chocolatey with an high degree of artificial overtones (I guess those are the "natural flavors"). Flavor is a God-awful mess of chocolate and...?(I'm guessing vanilla, cinnamon, and chiles, but that's only because that's what it says on the bottle). Mouthfeel is syrupy and under-carbonated. Honestly, I do not see how this beer has gotten such high reviews, I drank 2 oz and dumped the rest.

Draft. Backlog from Oct 2012. Dark brown in the glass with an off-white head that settled to a ring. Aroma of chocolate, vanilla, and roasted malt. The flavor found chocolate, roasted malt, and a light backing of pepper. Medium body, sweet, and a roasted aftertaste.

Bomber to oversized snifter. Looks good; cola with off-white lacing. Smells and tastes solid; chocolate and vanilla with some spice and a pleasant dark malt backbone. Nice and smooth on the palate. Good beer.
