Roasted dark malts plus extra chocolate malts plus ancho chile plus cinnamon plus organic vanilla extract plus a chocolate eating, beer drinking, Clown Shoes wearing, multi limbed, gorgeous and glorious Mexican wrestler on the label. That’s the recipe for a Chocolate Sombrero!

Stout glass poured from bomber. Pours pitch black with a thin tan head that dissipates. Smells like milk chocolate, coffee and roasted malts. Taste up front is bitter hops that drifts into chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, touch of cinnamon, and a tiny trace of chili spice. Creamy mouthfeel and a bitter (good) hops and malt aftertaste. Pretty good but I expected more

Pours opaque black with a medium, creamy tan head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is roast, chocolate and coffee malt, earthy hops, Chipotle peppers, cinnamon and dates. Flavor dark malt dominant with dark fruits, light hops and bitterness, spices, chocolate and a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at BrewDog Dundee. Pours almost black with a nice frothy head. Smells of chocolate, cinnamon, and a wee hint of vanilla. The dark chocolate malts and chocolate come through first thing. The vanilla sneaks in there and finishes with the cinnamon kick. Couldn’t really taste the chiles, but an excellent beer!

BOTTLE. Poured nice thick & black with a BIG tan head. Got the cinnamon & vanilla on the nose but an explosion of flavours in the mouth. I felt each mouthful was different, but the vanilla seemed to come through the most. It finished with a slight spicy creamy finish. Sourced from Pourhouse Dunsborough

Appearance: Dark brown/black with finger thick tan head. Aroma: Vegetal, cinnamon, note of vanilla, fruit cake, roast malts, light treacle and light liquorice. Taste: Low/medium sweetness, low bitter and sourness. Palate: Medium thick grainy texture, light/medium body, average carbonation, lingering quite dry, malty, spicy, fruity, treacle/liquorice finish with gentle heat from the chili. Comments: Very good.

One of my favourite chocolate, cinamon, vanilla, chile beers! Black with lighter brown foam. Light fragrant aroma is very nice. Aroma has notes of all the advertised goodies and a light fruitiness. Starts like candy with a light spice kick, chocolate finish and more spice in the aftertaste.

650ml bottle pours black in color with a massive light brown head that retains well and leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aromas of chocolate and vanilla with hints of cinnamon and chilies. Taste is a chocolate malty sweetness with hints of cinnamon and vanilla, a light citrus hop bitterness and a bit of warmth from the chilies in the finish. Medium to heavy bodied with nice carbonation. This brew is well balanced and very tasty. Highly recommended

Atlanta, Ga. - Total Wine - Perimeter - 22 oz bomber. Dark, black coffee colored pour, sticky mocha colored head. Aroma of chocolate and peppers, a hint of mahogany wood. Flavor is full bodied and solid with nice solid bitter chocolate goodness, some chili pepper smokiness, some creosote and licorice to round it out. Thick, sticky smooth mouthfeel. Very solid stout.

Tap at Brewdog, Nottingham. Just about black. Silky, tan head. Chocolate. Booze. Dark fruit. Taste is dark chocolate sweet. Some dryness. Light bitterness, too. Surprisingly light palate. Dark, roast dryness on the finish, with a little heat, right in the close. Nice beer.
