Bottle from Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours a dark brown with a thick brown head. There's a hint of cinnamon in the aroma. Tastes of chocolate, vanilla and of course that cinnamon I smelled. Very impressive. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle bought in Redstone Liquor Store, Stoneham (MA). Aged more than a year. Pours a deep dark red with no head nor lacing. Aroma features an interesting mix of chocolate, pepper, roasted malt, hops, alcohol, cinnamon, liquorice and vanilla. Taste is mostly about chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. Good balance. Full bodied. Not too heavy considering the high ABV.

Bottle. Thanks to ModeEngage! Clear dark reddish brown with a small tan head that lasts in a ring. Aromas of mostly a musty, vegetal note with roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, vanilla and light chili pepper behind it. Flavor is roasty at first with malt and coffee, dark chocolate, cinnamon and light vanilla follow. Not much of a spicy kick to it but enough to be interesting. Medium bodied, smooth with a roasty, slightly dry end.

12 oz bottle from Gs new squeeze.... Dark pour in to a snifter, good lacing left on the glass. Small head that fades fast. Nose of some chili peppers, chocolate, ash and tons of roasted malts. Taste is very dry/ashy imperial stout. Small amount of chilis present, lots of roasted malts, chocolate. Overall....Solid brewski....

Their beers typically do not disappoint. Nice chocolate and roasted aroma with a hint of spice. Dark chocolate color with a minimal head. Full and creamy palate. Chocolate and chili with a touch of cinnamon. Nice dessert.

Winter Beer Fest, Philly: Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is chilies, chocolate, roasted malts. Taste is pepper and chocolate and pretzel (yum pretzel). Each flavor is powerful and unapologetic. Quite heavy. Not very sweet. Complex. I liked this quite a bit.

Bottle. Pours black with thick chocolate shake like creme colored head. Bitter chocolate aroma over mild carbonation. Light chocolate flavor with some coffee flavors too. A mild spicy bite on the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz bottle. The pour is a nice dark brown/light black with a good sized dark khaki head that falls down to a film, leaving some pretty good lace. The aroma is big on chocolate malts and a good roast. There is a little chili heat there on the back end, but it's not too complex. There is a little bitterness that comes with it as well. The flavor is a little better. There is a definitely cocoa and dry butter toast present and on the back end, the heat of the Chilis really make a statement. They slowly warm from the back and just compliment so good. There isn't that drowning pepper type of flavor that had turned me off of these types of stouts. This is good. The mouth feel is thin and runny with some light carbonation that helps, but not enough. Still doesn't coat well. The aftertaste is a little light, but warm with a lingering dry chocolatey chili flavor. I like it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
