Bottle from Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours a dark brown with a thick brown head. There's a hint of cinnamon in the aroma. Tastes of chocolate, vanilla and of course that cinnamon I smelled. Very impressive. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

9% Shared at my Summer Plunder Tasting by Mick. A lovely dark brown almost black with red highlights and a tan head. Umami, vanilla, chocolate syrup and ancho chilli. Some warming going down this medium bodied beer rocks an earthy chocolate, vanilla and ancho chili heat. This is a very well balanced chocolate beer.

Bottle to pint glass Chocolate, chilies, caramel, cherry, port, muffin. Silky black, small quicky dissipating frothy brown head, no lacing. Taste begins with caramel, green chili, then the chocolate comes through, but more of a bittersweet chocolate, theres something acidic there, kind of like blackberry, and finally, a bitter coffee ending. 👍

Very tasty. Chocolate notes are prevalent, but the stout comes through also. Excellent taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home. Pours a thick dark brown with two fingers of brown head. Aroma is lots of chocolate mad some roasted malts. Flavor is pretty sweet and chocolaty like chocolate milk. Slight chili but not much. Full bodied and creamy. A bit boozy on the finish. Nice interesting beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Good only because the chili was so subtle it could have been mistaken for astringency in the stout. No chili in beers! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz bottle @ t Klooster, Delft, shared with Caesar, Judyvv & Joes. Black color. Light brown head. Aromas: sweet (milk-) chocolate, some fruit, with some pepper retronasal. Flavor is moderate sweet, chocolate. Medium bodied. Pepper heat is just moderate, fortunately. Finishes, chocolate-y, roasted, light ash, light bitterness.

Mmm! Big chocolate flavours, lots of great roasted malts. Not really getting the ancho flavours. Very good stout nonetheless!
