Bottle. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, charred malt, and a hint of chocolate malts. Flavor of roasted malt, vanilla, with some chiles and heat in the finish. A bit more subtle than I was expecting but pretty good nonetheless. 7/4/7/4/14 (3.6/5)

If this is impy stout, its gottah be one of the better impy stouts I’ve tasted. very nice black pour. has a choco moose head. smell of coffee, freshly brewed. not much choco on the taste buds but it does have coffe in there fer sure. better than expected. yes quite acceptable in the coffee arena., finish is ok, no ill attributes. some bitterness build thru the session.

Bottle in Vail with my dad. Pour is pitch black with a frothy brown head and good lacing. Sweet vanilla, lightly spicy - nutmeg & cinnamon - dark fruity, roasty, chocolatey, green peppers, and espresso in the aroma. Taste is smooth and spicy chocolate with a cayenne kick - with lighter notes of sweet vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, roasted malt, black licorice, dark cocoa, espresso, and earthy hops with a lightly spicy finish. Syrupy mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Really well-balanced and easy drinking stout; no signs I alcohol.

Bomber. Pours a dark brown color with a medium brown head. A big nose of bitter dark chocolate. The flavor is all sweet chocolates, vanilla, some light dark fruit. Very smooth and quite nice. A bit of a bite in the finish.

22 oz. bottle shared by ??. Pours a cola brown color with a small beige head. The aroma has chocolate, roasted malts, light cinnamon spice, peppery spice and even a hint of coffee. The flavor has a decent mix of everything; roasted malts, chocolate, cinnamon, peppers, hints of vanilla and coffee.

22 oz bottle from Wilbur’s. Black with a light brown head. The aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, chiles, vanilla, cinnamon and spices. Very similar flavor, well balanced and complex, everything goes well together. Medium body with a soft creamy feel and a light spicy, chocolate finish. Interesting and quite tasty.

Tap at Yard House Marina del Ray. Wispy mocha foam on darker maroon to black pour. Nose is heavy sugary prune and dark cherry, tootsie rolls, chocolate liquor. Taste is lactic milk chocolate, no chili pepper sadly. Some boozy cherry coke character. Long lactic finish with dusty dark chocolate.

pitch black, with a bit of creamy, fast dissipating khaki head. Definitely getting cinnamon on the nose, with some dark chocolate. Flavor is big cocoa, dark chocolate and cinnamon. Finishing heat, from probably both the cinnamon and anchos. The vanilla is a nice balancing touch.
