Clementine is beer conceived in a dream, in the middle of a blistering beatdown of a day. We used Clementine, sweet orange peel, coriander, and summit hops to smack that mean day upside the head with a refreshing clown shoe.

Tap pour, hazy gold with small light head. Faint aroma is slightly fruity from the Belgian (?) yeast. Flavor is complex, interesting, and pleasant with fruity and spicy and a wheaty taste coming through. Coriander and orange peels contribute. Body is ok, finish is quick. Unique flavors, but somewhat lacking.. ---Rated whilst imbibing

From bottle. Pours a murky gold with an orange hue. Dissipating white head leaves a nice ring. Yeasty nose. Yeast continues in the taste with a little spice and surprisingly mild orange. Nice trace of booze in the finish. Nice, light warm weather beer.

Bottle. Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly hoppy (flowers, herbs), with notes of orange/lemon zest, coriander, clove, pepper. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter, slightly husky. Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation, lightly astringent. A very clumsy, Americanized attempt. Unlike a traditional Belgian wit, it’s fairly dark golden, has virtually no head, and is rather strong in alcohol. Aroma relies heavily on the adjuncts for character...it’s not unpleasant but very novelty-beer-ish. Very stark, dry finish due to low residual sugars and the tag-team of strong acidity and bitterness. Fizzy mouthfeel makes it even less enjoyable to drink. Not quite terrible, but still a drain pour.

Botte. Pours hazy light orange with thick foamy white head. Aroma of grass, spice, wheat and oranges. Taste is lightly spicey (coriander and grains of paradise) and citrus rind and pith. There’s some bitterness but it doesn’t linger much. A pretty good American interpretation of a Belgian wit.

Bottle at Hops & Pie. Pour is hazy orange with a big white Head and decent lacing. Oranges, biscuit, lemony, yeasty, tangy, a touch of spice, grass, and fruit peel in the aroma. Taste is citrusy, yeasty, biscuit, bready, a touch of spice - though very muted - straw, and hay with a light spicy bite on the finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Not a bad beer, but not much of a wit.
