Clementine is beer conceived in a dream, in the middle of a blistering beatdown of a day. We used Clementine, sweet orange peel, coriander, and summit hops to smack that mean day upside the head with a refreshing clown shoe.

Hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of white bread and citrus. Sweeetish citrus dominated flavour with a bitter finish. Plenty carbonation.

draft at mews tavern poured a pale golden in color with a thin white head. aroma has yeast, light spice, and a light poke of orange. mouth feel is light and there is average carbonation. flavor shows a bit more hops, spice, yeast, and some clementine. the orange thing is rather mild and ot stays true to being a white.

Hazy golden coloured body with a thick, two centimetre thick white head. Aroma of fresh coriander seed, curacao, yeast, wheat, light fresh hops and a bit of nutmeg in the mix too. Medium-bodied; Interesting taste shows a potent malt flavour at first, a ton of spices, a lot of curacao and even orange juice and a little hop bite near the end. Aftertaste has some complex flavours with a lot of citrus, oranges and spices noticeable and a faint grassy hop note. Overall, a nice and interesting wit that shows a ton of different flavours and isnít lacking in taste at all - perhaps showing too much differences than a typical wit. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Normís in Vienna, Virginia for US$6 on 30-July-2011 sampled at home in Washington on 09-August-2011.

Poured from a 22 ounce bomber into a pilsner glass. Bottled 6/13/11 printed on label. Appearance: Pours a hazy light-to-medium gold color with a 1 finger foamy snow white head. Very little lacing at all. Smell: Wheat and spices. Label mentions that it was brewed with clementine essence and sweet orange peel, but Iím not detecting them. Taste: Wheat with a touch of citrus up front followed by spices and orange peel in the middle before ending with a fair amount of bitter hops at the finish which really balances it out. Aftertaste is mix of all the aforementioned flavors with bitter orange zest being the most dominant and spices being second. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied with a good amount of carbonation. Drinkability: High drinkability. At 6% ABV, I could knock back a few of these if they were available in 12 ounce bottles. Overall: Good beer overall. With all the hype around Clown Shoes lately, I figured Iíd pick up what was available. This is the first one Iíve tried/reviewed and it didnít disappoint. Definitely worth a shot.

Bottle. Interesting witbier! Itís refreshingly hoppy, and at the same time fruity (orange, banana) and also bit spicy. Well made and unique.

Bottle poured into glass. Light orange color with a thin bubbly head. Aroma had hints of orange peel and light cream. Much of the aroma followed in the flavor as well. Perhaps a touch of hops in there as well.

Visually not at all what I expected...14 karat pour with a small ivory head with ample carbonation. Flavor and aroma show citrus, dusty hops with a peppery note, coriander, clove, and orange pith. Light bodied. Not bad.

Trade bottle courtesy of Strykzone. This pours a cloudy dark gold with a white head and light lacing. The nose is coriander. Light in body and fizzy mouthfeel. Favor shows banana and orange peel, with some clove. Spicy and very dry finish. Sort of an average wit.
