Clementine is beer conceived in a dream, in the middle of a blistering beatdown of a day. We used Clementine, sweet orange peel, coriander, and summit hops to smack that mean day upside the head with a refreshing clown shoe.

Keg at Craft. Blond slightly cloudy with small white head. Aroma is belgian yeasty, very fruity, lots of clementine, orange. Lovely. Taste is very fruity and a hint of bitterness. Obviously clementine, but also a bit of pineapple and peach. Very drinkable, crisp and refreshing. Very nice.

22 ounce bottle, poured a dark orange color, aromas of citrus, spice, clove, and some cereal. Flavor is wheat, clementines, and some spicy yeast. Not the best example of this style but refreshing in the Florida heat.

On tap at Craft Beer Co., London. Pours a deep orange color with a minimal white head. Aroma is sweet-ish with coriander and lemon peel. Sweet tangerine notes as well. Taste is grainy and fruity, again on the sweet side. Orange and tangerine with some spices. Mouthfell is medium woth soft carbonation. Overall, very interesting and tasty. Maybe lacks a bit of refreshing qualities for wheat beer.

Bottle… Clear golden ale with a mid-sized, creamy, white head. The aroma is an intermingling of cereal grains, orange peel and clove. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. The flavor is sweet, grainy and mildly bitter with a gentle kiss of acidity. Finishes bittersweet – a touch more bitter than sweet.

Bottle @ ratman’s house. Huge thanks! A bit hazy, golden orange appearance with an off white head. Tangy clementine orange citrusy, a bit spicy yeasty, wheat malty aroma. A bit bready, tangy orange citrusy, bready yeasty, orange peel, sweet wheat malty flavor. Not bad.

Hazy yellow. The aroma has the expected floral, fruity, spicy qualities, but the flavor booms like my favorite wit biers. This is a solid example of the style.

Clown Shoes Clementine White Ale is a clear, pale golden ale with a fuzzy, white head that leaves nice lacing. It has a perfume aroma of orange and wheat. It’s bordering on dish soap. Deeper in the aroma is some nice juiciness. It’s light and clean and very crisp. It’s tart and citrusy all the way through. There’s a little orange peel bitterness at the finish. It lingers faintly after the finish. This would be an outstanding warm weather brew. It actually quenches my thirst. It’s ridiculously easy to drink.
