3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: DEC 9, 2013 Hazy orange color, light head and minimal lace. A great session. Citrus, coriander, wheat, alcohol taste. Good sipper. Not too fruity, which is nice for this style. Or any style for that matter

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Advent beer #3: 12oz bottle - pours gold with white head. Nose is citrus and hay. Sips adds floral notes and oranges. Obligatory oranges and Christmas nostalgia comment. For a style I usually find negligible, this is a tad hoppy and fruity: a welcome departure from boring and quaffable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle (12 oz). Clear yellow/golden with a huge bubbly white head that quickly fade. Aroma is of orange peel, light spices, fainted hops and floral notes. Taste is also of orange peel, floral notes, coriander and fainted hops finish. Light body. Lively carbonation at first and then, after a few minutes, it become moderate. Herbal finish. I don’t know if the bottle is too old (it may have 2 months on it), but it’s bland and the fainted hops doesn’t help.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks solid; a transparent gold with foamy white head. Smells of Belgian yeast and clementines. Tastes like it smells, but not as robust. Solid on the palate. Alright.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. It poured a light golden color with an off-white head. The aroma was of coriander, lemonade and some rye and pine. The taste was of citrus and oranges, with a crisp, light spiciness in the finish. Tasty.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle - Pours golden with a huge foamy white head. Dry citrus on the nose, a bit of bitter peel, with lots of spicy coriander and some dusty yeast. Real soapy. Taste is dry pale malt, coriander, gentle orange and lemon, and more dusty yeastiness. Lightly bitter, real carbonated and thin-bodied. This was a bottle from May, so it wasn’t the freshest, and it just seemed a little muted.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Dutch’s. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have some sweet malts, juicy citrus, light yeast, grass, mild bitterness to the finish. Lighter body. Decent, but some of the citrus fades toward the finish.

12oz bottle. Aroma is a light wheat and a sweet yeast smell. Appearance is a hazy gold with some head. Taste is a hefe like flavor that turns sort of orange. Palate is sweet and hefe. Overall, a refreshing beer, and well done.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle. Bottled 8/26/13. Totally hazy orange yellow golden color. Good off-white head, with good retention. Leaves good spread and reaches of lace. Very nice big clementine and orange citrus aroma, works well with the light spice, great for this white ale style. Moderate tart taste, light sweet, some zest. Medium body, lightly slick. Sort of a soft, sort of crisp carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Very fruity white ale, really. More fruit beer than white, but it’s impressive. Halfway through novelty wears off and fruit and sweetness gets to be a bit intense.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance- hazy yellow/orange with lacing and 1-finger head. Orange peel comes out in both the aroma and flavor, really and nice crisp clementine taste. Boasts an impressive hops presence for a wit.
