Draft at Lemon Hill. Pours a clean amber with thin off-white head that quickly dissipates. Nose of caramel, honey, roasted malt, citrus, pine and dark fruits. Full body, a little hot. Lot of good hop flavor for a barley wine

22oz bottle. Pours a deep cloudy amber, with a white head. Complex, matured aroma, apricot, marzipan, caramel, chestnut, toffee, hops, orange peel. Semi-sweet, full bodied, high bitterness, creamy CO2. Complex, elegant taste, marzipan, caramel, malt, orange peel, hops. Powerful, yet elegant. (2016-04-02) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Clown Shoes Crunkle Sam) Bottle 650 ml bought years ago from Bierkompass. Served into a snifter at home, ABV 11% Deep copper orange to red colour on the body, cloudy, with a small but thick, light beige head on top, with very good retention. Aroma of malts, caramel, orange peel, dates, apricot, marmalade. Taste is sweet, with caramel, orange peel, light citrus, apricots, peaches, marmalade, light pine, light alcohol as flavour but strong alcoholic burn afterwards. Medium body, soft carbonation, slightly sticky on the palate. Nice one.

FROTHINGSLOSH (6197) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 11, 2016
Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a caramel-brown color with a large foamy orange-tan head that lingered and left great lacing. The aroma was sweet caramel, tobacco, bitter piney hops and a touch of spruce. The flavor was sweet and malty with caramel, tobacco, piney hops, a moderate bitterness and a bit of cherry cough syrup. Long sweet pine and caramel finish with lingering bitterness. Moderately full bodied. Decent.

Poured from a bottle. Cloudy orange-brown with a thin off white ring. Has a tart-sour, sharp fruity aroma. Light carbonation. Body is a little thick and almost syrup like. Fairly smooth with a dry and slightly bitter taste that stays mainly on the roof of the mouth. Some woody and earthy notes. Hides the alcohol well. No harsh aftertaste or burn. Nice warmth after the finish. OK but I would have preferred more flavor and less bitterness.

Tap. Amber with small head. Caramel malt with dry citrus hoppiness, very low bitterness. Not very boozy. Seems pretty average.

1 pt 6 fl oz bottle. Deep reddish-orange brown amber colour, creamy off-white foam head leaving spotty lacing and aroma of caramel, orange marmalade, pine, hop resins. Taste is sweet, malt caramel, floral citrus, fruity, hoppy, woody pine, earthy bitter. Smooth mouthfeel, medium carbonation, soft carbonation, warm slight grassy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.
