Draft at Lemon Hill. Pours a clean amber with thin off-white head that quickly dissipates. Nose of caramel, honey, roasted malt, citrus, pine and dark fruits. Full body, a little hot. Lot of good hop flavor for a barley wine

Bottle shared with Casey, Pete, Ben, and Travis. Pours dark yellow/light brown. Aroma is hoppy, with lots of malt and some biscuit. Flavor is good - lots of malt and some sweetness, but overly hopped. Good beer.

22oz bottle, vintage 2013. Copper color, creamy foam. Aroma of aged, malted BarleyWine. Smells more English style. Flavor has hops bitterness, sweet sugary malts, toasted barley grains, bitter wood finish. ABV is very well hidden. (4256)

Bottle into snifter glass. Pours a clear reddish brown. Aroma is of ripe stone fruit. Taste is of bitter stone fruit and sweet malt with a little boozyness. Really good barley wine with nice balance. -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

A tasty barley wine. A little lighter APV than I prefer, But I can hardly wait for my next bottle to fill a tall and frosty glass. :-) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear deep amber with a frothy and creamy goldenish brownish beige head that leaves some spares sticky trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is malty, fruity, tiny earthy and tiny boozy with caramel, toffee, grapefruit juice, mango, canned peaches in simple syrup, resinous wood, pine needles, moist grass, orange zest, lemon zest and hints of alcohol. Taste is sweet, bitter, malty, fruity, slightly herbal, slightly earthy, tiny floral and tiny boozy with sweet dark bread, caramel, toffee, grapefruit juice, cape gooseberries, resinous wood, moist soil, pine needles, moist grass, lemon balm, orange zest, lemon zest, alcohol and hints of cardboard. Mouthfeel is round, slightly viscous, sticky, slightly oily bitter, slightly astringent, slightly boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is slightly sweet, bitter, malty, slightly fruity and slightly earthy with caramel, toffee, grapefruit juice, resinous wood, pine needles, moist soil, alcohol, kumquats, lemon zest and hints of cardboard. Solid, tasty and sadly slightly cardboard oxidized US barley wine.
