COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Eagle Claw Fist utilizes the same Chico yeast that shaped Hoppy Feet and Brown Angel. Canadian Two Row, English Crystal, and a little English Black Patent malt provide a sweet, balanced backbone. Simcoe, Centennial, and Citra work together to create a unique hop assault, with an intense bitterness that manages to leave your palate in one piece and is harmonized by the flavors of tropical fruits and flowers. The finish is dry.

Sampled from bombers for "An Evening of Clown Shoes Beer" at Lunar Brewing Co.. Displayed a brownish color with ruby highlights, off white, bubbles & cream head foam, and spots and streaks of clingy lacing. The aroma was mid-fruit sweetness, aggressive, citrus and pine hop presence, and smooth, balancing malt. The flavor brought to the palate the powerful hop content, and the ability of the abundant malt to control what could have become a hop missile. Add some alcohol warmth, and earthy & floral hints, and you’ve got a decent Strong Ale.

Served in a tulip. Pours a dark mahogany color with a two-finger off-white head that is quite thick and creamy. Good retention. Lots of ringy lacing on the way down. The nose has some strong piney hops and quite a bit of amber malt. Mild amount of caramel there as well. The flavor brings a good amount of piney hops with a bit of earthy hops there as well. Good hoppy character throughout. Moderate amount of caramel malt and also some bread. No real sweetness. Medium body with good bitterness coming through into the finish. Solid brew all around. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement minérale. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Arrière goût légèrement houblonné. (Rating #3688)

22 oz bottle. Pours a murky red orange with a 2 finger off white that lasts a while, eventually receding leaving quite a bit of sticky lace. Huge citrus aroma with oranges and tangerines as well as a big blast of pine sap. Citrus is present in the flavor although a bit more subdued. The malts are more evident in the flavor than they were in the aroma. Nice full palate. Bitter, dry finish.

11/11/11/10/11/11

Thanks to Blankboy for picking this up in Buffalo. Appearance: Murky dark brown with a large snow white head. Aroma: quite hoppy, mango, fruity, a little yeast and a heap of floral notes, lovely! Flavour: Malty and fruity, overripe mango skin, pears, long lactose finish. Not bad!

This is just like a hoppy nugget nectar. More of a double ipa than an amber. Does have a good malty profile however

Bottle… Cloudy amber ale with a mid-sized, off-white head. Fantastic retention. The nose is of pineapple and mango – I love both. Medium-bodied with a dry mouthfeel and dancing carbonation. The flavor is fruity and big-time bitter. Astringent, Mojave-dry finish. Bottle courtesy of Maltzilla!
