Eagle Claw Fist utilizes the same Chico yeast that shaped Hoppy Feet and Brown Angel. Canadian Two Row, English Crystal, and a little English Black Patent malt provide a sweet, balanced backbone. Simcoe, Centennial, and Citra work together to create a unique hop assault, with an intense bitterness that manages to leave your palate in one piece and is harmonized by the flavors of tropical fruits and flowers. The finish is dry.

(Rating #3688)

22 oz bottle. Pours a murky red orange with a 2 finger off white that lasts a while, eventually receding leaving quite a bit of sticky lace. Huge citrus aroma with oranges and tangerines as well as a big blast of pine sap. Citrus is present in the flavor although a bit more subdued. The malts are more evident in the flavor than they were in the aroma. Nice full palate. Bitter, dry finish.

11/11/11/10/11/11

Thanks to Blankboy for picking this up in Buffalo. Appearance: Murky dark brown with a large snow white head. Aroma: quite hoppy, mango, fruity, a little yeast and a heap of floral notes, lovely! Flavour: Malty and fruity, overripe mango skin, pears, long lactose finish. Not bad!

This is just like a hoppy nugget nectar. More of a double ipa than an amber. Does have a good malty profile however

Bottle… Cloudy amber ale with a mid-sized, off-white head. Fantastic retention. The nose is of pineapple and mango – I love both. Medium-bodied with a dry mouthfeel and dancing carbonation. The flavor is fruity and big-time bitter. Astringent, Mojave-dry finish. Bottle courtesy of Maltzilla!

CS has become for affordable go to beer as of late. Needed to tick off this one from their year round selections. Bomber poured a very hazy muddy copper color with a head that foamed down fast. The aroma was at first grapefruit and some jasmine but some molasses after that when i smelled deep. Maybe some paper machete to. I will say the taste is pretty balanced, Very tea like with bitter right through and some flower. Slightly astringent though and taste is light compared to the flavor. I would buy this again.

Shows signs that there are some good things to be had, although freshness was questionable. Decently flavorful with citrus, grapefruit in particular, and bitterness up against a sweet caramel malt body. Wouldn’t mind trying again when guaranteed fresh.
