COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Eagle Claw Fist utilizes the same Chico yeast that shaped Hoppy Feet and Brown Angel. Canadian Two Row, English Crystal, and a little English Black Patent malt provide a sweet, balanced backbone. Simcoe, Centennial, and Citra work together to create a unique hop assault, with an intense bitterness that manages to leave your palate in one piece and is harmonized by the flavors of tropical fruits and flowers. The finish is dry.

Bomber poured a clear amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of bread, grapefruit, lemon zest and grassiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, grassiness, grapefruit, lemon zest and light pine with a crisp dry lingering bitter finish.

Pours a hazy dark amber with a medium tan head. Nose is full-bodied with caramel, molted leaves, ripe fruit, pine cones. Taste is extremely well balanced with caramel and rye bread marrying togther with molasses, ripe fruit, grass, hay, orange zest, honey. Very very good indeed!

From a 650ml bottle on 16/6/2013 (shared by Butz - thanks). Pours a very cloudy very dark reddy brown with a small head. Has a powerful, lovely fruity, hoppy aroma with lots on piny notes. In the mouth, it’s really flavoursome, with sweet dark, stone and citrus fruit, lots a caramel and a touch of toasty malt. This is an absolute hop bomb, with a huge lingering, resiny, piney, dry bitterness. The palate is quite full and a bit creamy and the carbonation medium. An outstanding beer and a particular treat for hop heads.

Over 100IBU is not misleading. Hop character dominates the malt. Aroma is strong resin, spice, light citrus and amber malt. Opaque deep mahogany crimson color. Long lasting off white head.

Bottle. Hazy chestnut brown with a medium sized good lasting and lacing off white head. Aroma is caramel, toffee and plenty of hop notes; citrus zest, mango and resin mostly. Taste is medium sweet and medium/heavy bitter. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Lasting bitterness in the finish. Red iipa, nothing spectacular.

Bottle @ The Sleepy Ken Tasting, CPH. The pour’s amber with a small head. The nose is maramalade, toast. Strong sweet malty aromas. The taste is brown bread slathered in marmalade. Some toffee. Singed grass. Full body, slightly boozy. Overall, pretty solid.

Bomber. A lot going on with the ingredient list and not sure it all comes together totally perfectly but it drinks pretty good nonetheless. Sweet candi sugar and red fruit aroma. Flavor is a little yeasty and full of caramel and sweetness. Finish is a little fusel alcohol. A bunch if red fruit and sweetness.

651 ml. bottle. Pours a thick well retained ivory head, with slight lacing, over a clear, medium amber (SRM 13) body......nose is treacle, plum, heavy pine, resin, citrus, slight floral tones....taste is heavy bitter hop with hints of pine, citrus, light touches of toffee/caramel, then barnyard !!, becoming dry, leading to a lingering hop bitterness.....mouth feel medium, minimally sticky, alcohol warmth present, carbonation makes for light acid bite. The hops are utterly dominant, but not cleanly so in this bottle, as there is a bit of a muddle in the hop aromas and flavors. I would have preferred more crystal/caramel malt influence in the malt backbone. BJCP 7/3/13/4/7

Bottle at the Imperial tasting - Copenhagen. Thanks to Ken-O. Pours clear amber with a fine, white foam head. Medium sweet flavor, quite bitter, lots of pine and dirt. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Mild resinous finish, mostly earthy, bitter grass. So so.
