2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Hopper (751) - The Alamo, USA - AUG 10, 2011
22 oz. brown bottle. A hazy amber beer with a small head. The aroma is hoppy, orange rind, oranges, pine and an almost slight vanilla sweetness. The taste is a little rough around the edges. Some sweetness and hop flavor but I mainly get bitterness that lasts quite awhile like someone is scraping my tongue. An OK beer but I hope they do better in honor of Candace who seems to be a real treat.

On tap at The Craft Beer Co. Brighton. Amber to red with white head. Full blown Barley Wine note in the body, some whisky burn but then a really solid mix of American type hops, pine, grapefruit a whole gamut of flavours but it works. Cracking.

Macon, Ga. - Wine Styles Liquor Store - 22 oz bomber. Dark amber pour, thick, sticky khaki colored head. Fresh fruity aroma with hints of juicy fruit gum, some apricot fruitiness, and a hint of spruce. Flavor is full bodied and delicious. Nice subtle citrus bitterness, some nuttiness, a bit of nectarine fruit accents. Thick, rich mouthfeel. Pretty solid.

22 oz bottle pours a hazy copper color wiuth a huge persistent foamy tan head. Aroma has lots of toffee, caramel, roasted malts and piney hops. Body is thick with slight carbonation and a buttery mouthfeel. Taste is on the sweet side with a bitter finish kicking in. Very enjoable, but to be sipped
4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 mkel07 (1809) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - MAY 17, 2012
650ml bottle. Strong copper red color with a low level layer of coffee colored foam. Looks and smells very much like a barley wine with lots of vanilla, butterscotch and toffee aromas. Full and thick in the mouth with a great flavour that sends the taste buds into overdrive. The flavor warms the mouth and stays for a while.
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Marheb (671) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 6, 2012

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 ads135 (514) - Lawrence, USA - APR 21, 2012
Pretty good and as balanced as they advertise. Medium body, dark amber coloration, healthy head. A nice blend of caramelly maltiness and pine hopiness, but in the end, this beer is defined by its hops. Tried with Dave and Paul at the Beer Temple in A’dam in April, 2012.
