From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Copper-amber pour underneath a cream-colored head. Big earthy and floral hop aroma with just as big a caramel, butterscotch malt aroma. Just pungent all around. The body is medium to full. Barley malt characters explode in the flavor but quickly make way for the abundant hop bitterness that fills things out to the end.

Overall a quality IPA. Strong citrus and earthy hoppy aromas, pouring a medium to dark colour. Medium-to-full bodied, well-balanced hops, citrus notes with a subtle bitter finish.

Location: Bottle at the Bar Below, 6/4/14

Aroma: It has a citrus and floral hop aroma, catty notes, and some tropical fruit
Appearance: It pours a murky looking dark orange color with a beige head
Flavor: The flavor is fruity and a little soapy, floral notes as well, similar to the nose
Palate: The body is medium-plus, and it has a decent mouthfeel and carbonation to it
Overall Impression: Found this to be a solid beer, but not a top-of-style offering. Still I enjoyed it. Might be worth re-visiting, as I’m sure the age.

From 354 ml bottle. Pours a lightly hazy copper-orange with a creamy 2-finger head and fine carbonation. Aromas of lemon, flowers, pine, caramel, bit of peach and orange. Taste starts of with a slightly sweet malty caramel that soon gives way to a very firm pine resin and grapefruit bitterness. Resolves into orange zest and pepper at the back end. Lingering bitter finish. Enjoyed this a lot.

12oz bottle poured into an a tulip glass. An abundant citrus strikes the nose initially and throughout. Initially, there’s also a sweet caramel candy note and peanut brittle, but this fades; it’s replaced by bread crust and spice (specifically coriander and lemongrass come to mind). Near the end, there’s a light, roasted caramel note with a slight herbal skunk, and maybe even a burnt hint. It pours a murky orange color with a creamy, rocky white head and heavy sediment in the body. The head slowly recedes leaving a medium thick ring with a moderate splash of a surface head. It leaves an abundant, small bubbled, web lace. The taste is a pleasant and straightforward blend of medium high sweet and bitter. The texture is oily with a good amount of zippy carbonation. The full body finishes with notes of primarily toasted bread and bitter citrus. There’s also a hint of caramel and a dry, light spiciness. The aftertaste is a lingering bitter fruit and bread crust.
