An excellent Imperial IPA; everything I look for in this kind of beer. Very bitter but balanced nicely with the slightly sweet malt. Big frothy white head. Clean finish. Very good beer.

Pours a hazy deep medium amber with an off white head. Sweet syrupy candy corn aroma. Fairly thick body with some lacing and sediment. Smooth and syrupy with a semi sweet malty taste. Not much of a hop bite. Full mouth feel with lingering flavors. Smooth finish. Very similar taste to other Clown Shoes IPAs and Barley Wine. Pretty enjoyable.

Very decent IIPA. Big malty backbone, heavy hops, not overly bitter. Flattish carbonation. A mellow IIPA.

[Jan 9 2016] Bottle from Bethesda Food and Beverage. Nice copper body with big head. Nose is hoppy, some pine and floral notes. Taste hoppy of course but also lots of malt and caramel elements. Warming finish. Good one.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy amber pour with a bubbly off white head, aroma has tangerine, grapefruit and mango, taste has sweet caramel, tangerine, some mango, pine, OK was hoping for more.

Hoppy aroma of pine, orange, peach and also some alcohol. Pours deep golden with a tall, white solid head. The first flavour to hit the tongue is peach which quickly becomes bitter orange and grapefruit. Feels slightly oily, medium carbonation, very long and bitter finish. Yummy.

355ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours murky brown, thin off-white head. Aroma is resinous orange. Taste is quite heavy on the crystal malt with some sticky honey, caramel & resinous pine. A bit of a muddle really.

Tap. A brown with orange hint. Lift and fresh aroma. Not overly resin or citrus. Very nice balance of hops with some bitter notes and hints of vanilla undertones.

Hazy orange with a medium white head, no lacing. Aroma of mango and resin. Taste is mango, pine, grass, booze. Mostly fruity and sweet at first but very hoppy later. Medium body and carbonation, very typical and tasty Imperial IPA. A good one!

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a strongly carbonated slightly hazy dark orange colored body and a very good lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy. The sharp crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. The sharp flavor contained notes of semi-sweet mildly bitter mild citrus and hops. Delicious and one I would certainly like to have again.

0.355 bottle.
A delicately hazy, dark copper color and a large, off-white head of amazing retention. Aroma is obviously hoppy; grass, pines, and bark feature quite prominently but passion fruit, oranges, peaches, and mangoes still take the cake. Taste is a perfect mix between malty and hoppy flavors: mangoes, caramel, citruses, warm cereals, pines, bread, and strictly a bit of hops. A medium body, a creamy texture, and a virtually flat carbonation.
