4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Lovely, peach colored, body had a a little bit of haze when poured, and the two fingered head looked well proportioned atop it. Before bringing the pint glass up to my nose, I could already smell the hops. The aroma was very citric and piney as well. There was a ton of grapefruit on the nose. The taste was also emphasizing citric and tropical, rather than bitter, flavors, with some tangerine, grapefruit, and some guava and passion fruit. The finish was drawn out and drying. The beer was little thinner than typical for the style. I liked this one for being a bit different than typical a DIPA.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a very dark golden orange color with burnt orange edges and a half finger off-white head that quickly settles into a thin, lasting ring. This beer is really dark and almost brown which is strange for the style. Decent head retention with sporadic spotty lacing left behind.
Earthy, floral hop aroma with a strong onion-y, summit-like presence along with some grassy pine, sweet citrus and a strong sweet malt backbone. Resinous oils with pine sap and grass followed by onion, grapefruit and biscuit. The malt presence is really strong, however, substantially taking away from the hops. Lots of caramel sweetness along with toffee, roasted nut and light roast. The aroma has the potential to be incredible but itís a bit too " balanced" for itís own good in my opinion.
On the fuller end of medium bodied with an even stronger malt character than the nose hinted at. Dry and bitter with a blast of dank, sticky hops up front that linger over the sweeter notes, onion and sweet malt flavors into a bone dry finish. Earthy pine needle, grass and spruce tip followed by subtle sweet citrus/tropical fruit, especially grapefruit and orange peel. Some summit/onion flavor coming through mid-palate but its not as strong the aroma suggests. Toward the finish, there is a huge sweet malt presence that kills off a lot of the interesting hop flavor. Slightly roasted/smokey with some tobacco, caramel sweetness, toffee, hazelnut and biscuit. The high ABV is well masked making this beer pretty easy to drink, but what starts off as a very interesting IPA falls off half way through resulting in an average beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Appearance: clear pale amber with heavy particulate, one fingers of fluffy ivory head, good retention and moderate lacing. (3/5) Aroma: caramel malt, pine, herbal/floral, tropical fruit. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderately strong bitter. (6/10) Palate: medium body, moderate carbonation, lingering bitter finish. (3/5)
Definitely a shelf turd - sixteen months since bottling. Not unpleasant as it stands, but itís clearly lost a lot of the fruit tones itís supposed to have, to the point where itís now very much malt-forward on the nose. No brightness on the tongue, just a caramel sweetness and a big blunt bitterness. OK like it is, but probably deserves to be tasted fresher. (12/20)

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a hazy copper color. Off-white head with sticky lacing. Citrus, grass and sweet aroma. Malty with citrus hops. Bitterness reminds me of orange pith.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rating #1249 - 10.09.2014 - Bottle from CBI Clear golden pour with a bubbly white foam, spotty lacing. FRUIT BOMB! Nose is tangerine, pineapple, essentially the tropics in a blender. Mouthfeel crisp, mild alcohol warmth, low-medium carbonation. Taste is sweet orangey/tangerine notes with the spicy tang and hoppy bite. Schwanky Galaxy hop brew.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Not a bad IPA, if a little medicinal in the finish. Pours bright yellow/orange with average head, the aroma is citrus and grass. The flavor is bitter all the way around, and especially on the back-end. Huge rush of grapefruit and pine.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. It pours hazy mahogany with a creamy off white head. The aroma is high malty with notes of floral hops and ripe berries. Rather sweet and toasted flavor. Bready and floral hoppy.
