COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our new Pecan Pie Porter no longer uses extract, but rather brown sugar and pecans roasted by friends at The Gallows in Boston. Buddy Hadry, a rep at Bella Vista in PA, gave me the name for this beer, the second Pecan beer now that he has named. Thank you, Buddy!

Aroma of molasses and pecans, pours an opaque black with a thick tan head. Slightly sweet flavor, with roasted pecans coming forward in the finish. Nice roasted notes throughout. A nice twist on the standard nut brown ales and porters.

Bomber. Pour is dark with a light tan head, much like a stout. Smell is brown sugar, spice, chocolate and coffee. Taste is chocolate, caramel, a touch of coffee, good sweetness from the brown sugar. Would never know it had pecans in it as I can't taste them. There is an interesting spice note that I can't quite detect. Decent porter but not being able to detect the main ingredient is frustrating. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
