4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Schwarzer Porter mit verhaltener, bräunlicher Schaumbildung. Ein weiniges Röstmalzaroma vom Feinsten. Sanfter, geschmeidiger Antrunk.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 ounce bottle. Pours a dark brown with a beige head of foam. Aroma is sweet lactose and roasty malt. Reminds me of a sweet stout. Tastes mildly sweet with just a touch of pecan nuttiness coming through. It’s barely there. I was hoping for it to taste more like pecan pie.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
651 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, poorly retained, light beige head, over a black brown (SRM 35) body.....nose is chocolate, brown sugar, light toffee/caramel, hints of coffee, pecans.....taste is light chocolate, toffee/caramel, coffee, nuts, hints of dried fruits (plum, raisin), finishing with a roasted malt hop bitterness.....mouth feel medium, slightly sticky, minimally astringent, alcohol hidden, carbonation low, ending with minimal acid. This is a pleasant beer, but it is a little muddled due to the complexity of the ingredients. I think I would like it better without the pecans which make it reminiscent of a chocolate pecan pie. 3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours dark unclear with a decent beige head. The aroma brings some spices from the fall, but not pecans persay. The flavor brings a toasted malty porter with some bitter hoppy notes as well. The flavor of the pecans are not prevalent and there is some sweetness, not necessarily brown sugar though.

Running through the clown shoes line up here and if I haven’t said it before then ill cover it here. These guys make so many different styles of beer I’m amazed they are able to make them all somewhat solid and drinkable. If you were doing a tasting you’d be able to grab 10 of these guys beers and show off the style and flavors of craft beer. Nutty pecan aroma. Sweet and full bodied flavor. Finish is sticky sweet. Great desert beer here. Would also go well at the high holidays. Christmas and Easter.

Dark brown-black pour with an orange hue ... aroma of brown sugar, caramel and roasted malts and light sweet pecan pie flavors .... taste of sweet brown sugar, pecans, cinnamon, caramel and lightly roasted malts ... thinner body but tasty ... finish is bittersweet with the spices coming through .... decent and easy drinking .... thanks Buddy!!
