COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoppy Feet has been lovingly crafted by combining premium malt with lots of Amarillo and Columbus hops.
Grapefruit and Pine are balanced on the nose and on the palate by a nutty, dark chocolate, roasted backbone.

Floral hops leading to flavors of chocolate, dark berries and citrus peel. Undertones of coffee. Moderate hop bitterness and good carbonation. A bit syrupy from the sweetness.

Pours very dark Brown, medium sized thick tan head. Aroma floral and citrus hops, bready malt, slight hint of caramel swetness. Taste bitter up front, floral, pine, grapefruit, slight bready and black malt in the finish, more pleasant bitterness throughout. Mouthfeel is medium body and carbonation, hop astringency, dry finish. Overall good beer, very little black malt flavor, nice ipa, didn?t really take any risks here.

Dark brown pour, very light tan head. Flavor is a bit smokey, hoppy, earthy, charcoal, somewhat astringent.

12 oz bottle, with Jan. 2014 bottling date, served in a snifter. Pours opaque and essentially black with a small, semi-durable head. As per the looks, this is loaded with dark roasted grains. No shortage of hops either, but these two flavor components clash a bit, as is common with black IPAs. More burnt grain flavor and burnt toast than I’d prefer. O: strongly flavored black IPA with hoppy, if not happy, feet.

Scopey (5548) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 22, 2014
Keg at BD Sheps Bush. It pours black with a thick light tan head. The nose is rich, roasty, chocolate, pine, resin charred earth and dirt. The taste is rich, roasty, earth, charcoal, raw bitterness, varnish, resin, hop astringency, pepper, aniseed, toast and grapefruit rind with a bitter roasted finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Bitterness keeps on lingering so much so, that it may haunt your dreams.... Not the smoothest bipa out there, but not exactly lacking in flavour!

Bottle. Nice notes of roasted malt. caramel, earth, hop, and grapefruit. I enjoyed this brew very much. The hint of chocolate in the finish was an added pleasure.

A big rangy rambling brew. Black tar and vegemite over a nice sweet alcohol burn. Very long in the palate.
