Hoppy Feet has been lovingly crafted by combining premium malt with lots of Amarillo and Columbus hops.
Grapefruit and Pine are balanced on the nose and on the palate by a nutty, dark chocolate, roasted backbone.

Bottle. Jet black with ense creamy tan coloured head. Thin lacing down the side of the glass leaves only the smallest head. Aromas of resiny pine hops, a little smole and roasted grain. Taste is quite bitter with a cloying sweetness and some alcohol. Medium moiuthfeel. Nice beer.

Bomber or larger. Wonderful piney hop aroma. Doesn’t really smell like a black IPA. Flavor is really nice. Roasty malts. Good hop profile. Hops a little subdued compared to the malts, but still a nicely balanced, enjoyable black IPA. Black body, light tan head with nice lace.

Bottled sample. Near black in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of cocoa powder, green coffee been, pale malt, and herbal/earthy hops. Quite roasty in the mouth, with more sharp chocolate and coffee notes, backed by a touch of chalk and white grapefruit. Medium bodied with a solid amount of bitterness. Good overall, but could have been hoppier.

Bomber. Pours a dark reddish brown. Thick frothy tan head with good lacing. Aroma of citrus, pine, and roasted malts. Citrus and pine hit up front with nice roasted malt backbone. Hints of rich unsweetened chocolate. Very balanced.

Roasty aromas of coffee and nuts complemented by citrus and pine. Full body with lots of toasty, earthy notes and citrus and pine bitterness that finished out the beer quite nicely. Overall very enjoyable. I’ll definitely be looking for more beers from Clown Shoes.

Tasted from the bottle, on 28/11/2012. Pours of incredibly black, with just amazing fluffy foam. Aroma is just astonishing, so intense and complex, very zesty&citrusy, but like you name smell a real lemon. Hints of vanilla in the end. Mouthfeel is amazingly full-bodied and medium carbonated. Taste is again intense, with notes of citrus fruits, candies, grass, wild flowers and pines. Aftertaste is roasty and a heck bitter, as wanted. Recommended++ ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
