COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoppy Feet has been lovingly crafted by combining premium malt with lots of Amarillo and Columbus hops.
Grapefruit and Pine are balanced on the nose and on the palate by a nutty, dark chocolate, roasted backbone.

Draft at Old Chicago. Deep black pour with minimal head and lacing. Nose is sweet chocolate. Taste is bitter chocolate and grapefruit. Nice mouthfeel and a satisfactory, long finish.

12 oz bottle. Aroma if toasted caramel and toffee malts. Flavors of chocolate, toast with some orangey sweetness from the hops. Really nice effort. Tastes like January.

Bottle: The aroma consists of chocolate, molasses, pine, roast, and light grapefruit. It pours a dark brown with no transparency, It has a two finger beige head that has good retention and leaves consistent rings of lacing on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with chocolate and a touch of molasses. The finish has black licorice, pine, lighter grapefruit, roast, burnt notes, and a touch of metal. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, I could really do without the metallic notes in the finish.

Black ipa che prevede fuochi artificiali di luppolo per illuminare la notte scura dei malti tostati, sullo sfondo di note di cioccolato, caffé e leggera liquirizia. Molto ricca e gustosa.

Super hoppy ipa from clown shoes. Had this one at lake house in Antioch. Has a bitter finish and smells malty. Pours a dark yellow in color ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Steins Beer Garden. Black with a foamy tan head. Aroma of bourbon, roast grains, and nuts. Taste is citrusy, big roasty/coffee notes, chocolate, licorice, and a bitter finish. Medium body. Good black IPA.

Bottle from Bootleggers. Pours deep dark opaque brown with a hint of lightness at the bottom of the glass. Thick layer of toffee colored head. Aroma of roasted malts and hints of hoppiness. Taste of hops intermingled with roasted coffee.

Poured from a bottle. Almost jet-black with a thin tan head. Roasted malt, dark chocolate and grassy hops on the nose. The flavor has the bitter hop sensation, but it’s masked almost entirely by a sweet roasted flavor. It’s a little too effervescent to get a good grasp on the flavor. Definitely better as it warms up and you can get a little more of the roasted flavor. I’ve had better black IPAs.

Poured an opaque black with a deep dark ruby tint around the edges. Had a 5mm tan foamy head that retained for a short time. Laced as a few spots. Aroma of nice soft sweet caramel with an absence of any strong hops. Taste not at all like aroma - strong roasted grain, burnt sugar and slight hops bitterness all hiding sweet caramels. Medium body. Dry finish but the long acrid bitter finish detracts. For me not a typical IPA.
