Mine is a year old, thanks to a blind build of a six pack on my part. So, I’ll be gentle. Super carbonated Much of the roasty malt, dark chocolate and coffee are gone. Not a ton of hops flavor or bitterness. Still, I see bits of what made this a good one.

Dark brown to black colored, nice medium long lasting frothy tan head with nice lacing. Aroma is of chocolate, dark chocolate some coffee notes and moderate amount of piney and citrus hops. Taste is medium sweet chocolate, dark chocolate, coffee, moderate pine and citrus finish, medium hoppy-coffee bitterness, dry finish, lasting bitter aftertaste. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, creamy and resiny. Very nice chocolate and hoppy mix!

Aroma: burnt coffee. Appearance: black coffee. Taste: burnt coffee, burnt toffee, grapefruit, dry. Palate: creamy, smooth, milk stout-ish. Overall: bitter, solid black IPA. Re-rated this a 3.7 from a 3.5...what can I say, I like process & discipline.

33 cl. bottle at home. High and creamy lasting light brown head. Clear very dark ruby body. Solid malt base with cocoa, caramel nuts results in a rather sweet aroma. The flavor is, however, not as sweet as indicated by the aroma as the beer has a good deal of hops bitterness on top of the heavily roasted malt caramel and nuts base. Low caronation. Long bitter finish. Well balanced with an alcohol level nicely hitten by the bitter and sweet notes.

Citrus, pine, resin... In the nose and on the tongue. Caramels and roasted malts are there but secondary behind a black ale with toffee head ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
