COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoppy Feet has been lovingly crafted by combining premium malt with lots of Amarillo and Columbus hops.
Grapefruit and Pine are balanced on the nose and on the palate by a nutty, dark chocolate, roasted backbone.

Bottle 22oz. Not sure it’s considered a black ipa. It is almost exclusively stout maybe even porter. A good beer but hardly a black ipa

Clear dark red to black color, light brown head. Fruity, coffee, hoppy taste. Dry coffee aftertaste. Medium smooth mouthfeel, high bitterness. Coffee, green peppers, malty scent.
Coffee is what stays behind in this one.

Aroma is mildly resinous hops and notes of cocoa. The flavor is hoppy, with an almost tropical fruit element to it, followed by a medium chocolate maltiness. A bit different for a Black IPA, the tropical fruit flavor was surprising but also helped make it stand out, pretty good overall.

Bottle, as pictured. Pours a pitch black with a ton of head, almost out of control. Smells fairly sweet, faint chocolate. Taste has a bit of hops up front that fade as it goes on. Pretty good, easy to drink.

glennmastrange (2431) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - JAN 13, 2012
Bottle. Moderate malt and hop notes of toasted, strong coffee, a hint of dark bitter chocolate and pine resin, light leather and earth for the yeast, with charcoal, wood and alcohol in the background. Head is frothy with larger bubbles and turning wispy, light swirly tan with some spotty lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is very dark brown. Flavor starts lightly sweet, lightly to moderately acidic and moderately bitter, then finishes lightly to moderately acidic ad heavily bitter. Palate is medium, oily with a carbonation between soft and lively and has a very dry finish. Some obvious bitterness up front and even bigger bitterness again at the end, this is one bold Black IPA.
