COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoppy Feet has been lovingly crafted by combining premium malt with lots of Amarillo and Columbus hops.
Grapefruit and Pine are balanced on the nose and on the palate by a nutty, dark chocolate, roasted backbone.

UPDATED: MAR 30, 2013 Black with a white head. Classic BIPA look. The beer is more like a hoppy porter though. This confirmed that as it warmed up, more goodness came out. Big malts, some body. Hops are there in the nose, but just in the bite of the flavours.

Bottle at the park. Pours faded black with beige head. Aroma of licorice roast, slight hop, perfume. Taste is licorice roast, hop bitternes, pine, light choko. Fine balance, bitter finish.

Pours dark brown with moderate light head. Smells of spruce and roasty toasty bread. Taste is bitter and moderately sweet, coffee malts and floral spruce hops.

Huge chocolate roasted notes intertwined with citrus hop profile - everything a black IPA strives to be - not my favorite style at the end of the day but a spot on interpretation.

Hoppy Feet is a very fragrant black IPA with nice firm and creamy light brown foam. The surprise a lot with its aroma, because it smells wildly from chocolate notes. Not like the classic dark chocolate as many beer smells of, but rather as good homemade brownie or chocolate cake. I could be forgiven for thinking that it was stout they had in the glass, but in the background lurks also a bittersweet discrete citrus aromas, and then you know that waiting an exciting IPA. The taste is good and rich and long taste of both chocolate malt and hard roasted malt tones with good fruity balance going towards something apricot and passion fruit. Hop bitterness is gentle and citrusy, and keeps well in the background to the malt tones of. Then sneak Columbus and Amarillo hops (here I cheated and read hops types on label) slowly into the back of the tongue and fills the mouth with a long and pleasant hoppy taste, which stands in attractive relief to the IPA’s malted impression. It is rare to experience an American IPA in good balance for most American IPA’s used to be more hoppy aggresive. This is simply very good.

Bottle from Kihoskh, Copenhagen - fuzzy dark brown to black coloured pour with a beige head. Aroma and taste is a mix of roasted malts and tropical citrus fruits, prominent hoppy, grapefruit, pine needles, some caramel, roasted hoppy finish. Decent.

355ml bottle enjoyed @ home. Pours black with a big off-white head. Aroma is floral, roasted malt, citrus and earthy. Flavour is medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium bodied, thin texture, average carbonation. Finish is roasted and bitter. A bit boring.

Dark copper/brown, explosive head fills the glass to the top with a tan & tight foam that stays put. Aromatic and yeasty, coffee character. Full body, aggressive flavor, smooth texture, high carbonation, lingering palate. Tart, bitter and sweetish. Dark roast flavors impose their mark immediately, rich café au lait. Probably the most gassy beer I've ever seen, well made and enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft, Toranado. Mini flute glass, black, robust brown hue. Rich debitter chocolate malt. Big flowery, pine tar hop nose. Warming mouthfeel, light body, not much malt for style, drinks like a pale ale vs a stout. Oily, bitter hops soak and linger on palate with a lightly honey sweet malt finish. Tons of hop pellet flavor. Simple, straightforward, nice interoperation of style.

Very nice thick creamy head. Dark in color. Smell chocolate notes and very little hops. Taste the darker grains in a roasted flavor. Buttering hops present but not fruity as described. Palate is smooth medium body ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
