Hoppy Feet has been lovingly crafted by combining premium malt with lots of Amarillo and Columbus hops.
Grapefruit and Pine are balanced on the nose and on the palate by a nutty, dark chocolate, roasted backbone.

22oz bomber, no date, courtesy of coharahawk, thanks Cole. Clear deep brown with a one finger medium beige head, fair retention. Nose is roasted malts and very nice pine and floral hops. Flavor follows suit, fairly roasty. Nice and fresh, great pine hop notes. Nice and fresh. Not really getting any sweetness, light alcohol in the lightly burnt finish, bitterness peaked at a 7ish. Medium body with light to mod carbonation. Pretty solid. Reminds me a lot like 3 Floyd Alpha Klaus, though I like the 3F better. I think of this as a hoppy porter.

12 oz bottle, with Jan. 2014 bottling date, served in a snifter. Pours opaque and essentially black with a small, semi-durable head. As per the looks, this is loaded with dark roasted grains. No shortage of hops either, but these two flavor components clash a bit, as is common with black IPAs. More burnt grain flavor and burnt toast than I’d prefer. O: strongly flavored black IPA with hoppy, if not happy, feet.

Pours very dark Brown, medium sized thick tan head. Aroma floral and citrus hops, bready malt, slight hint of caramel swetness. Taste bitter up front, floral, pine, grapefruit, slight bready and black malt in the finish, more pleasant bitterness throughout. Mouthfeel is medium body and carbonation, hop astringency, dry finish. Overall good beer, very little black malt flavor, nice ipa, didn?t really take any risks here.

Tap. Pitch black pour with a finger of head. Pine, grapefruit, nuts, coffee, tobacco, chocolate. Complex. Medium body with good carbonation. Silky and slightly bitter sweet finish. A complex but easy to drink beer

Floral hops leading to flavors of chocolate, dark berries and citrus peel. Undertones of coffee. Moderate hop bitterness and good carbonation. A bit syrupy from the sweetness.

A big rangy rambling brew. Black tar and vegemite over a nice sweet alcohol burn. Very long in the palate.

Bottle. Nice notes of roasted malt. caramel, earth, hop, and grapefruit. I enjoyed this brew very much. The hint of chocolate in the finish was an added pleasure.

Bottle at home. Pours clear dark brown to black with a medium, frothy beige head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is roast and chocolate malt, light burnt notes, raisins and plums with moderate herbal, dank, and resin hops. Flavor is dark malt forward, nutty, moderate hops and bitterness with dark fruits and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Great beer. Pours black that lets no light through. Mobs of lacing left behind from a thick head that doesn’t dissipate. Taste is well balanced between malt and hops with malt taking the first round but hops come back strong in the second. Wounderful beer, will get again fo sho.

Part of a 6-pack IPA sampler. Best so far. Nice head, and great lacing. Black but not cloudy, creamy. Delicious stout, tangerine, with chocolate as a finish.

This is a black IPA that is a tasty blend of citrus and stout. It pours with a nice head and gives you a pleasant aroma with a surprise fullness and nice aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
