Hoppy Feet has been lovingly crafted by combining premium malt with lots of Amarillo and Columbus hops.
Grapefruit and Pine are balanced on the nose and on the palate by a nutty, dark chocolate, roasted backbone.

Dark black pour from a bomber. Strong coffee and chocolate in the aroma with a hint of citrus hops. Roasted malts and kona coffee dominate the flavor. Theres some bitterness and a light hop spiciness at the end. To me, this is a slightly hoppy stout, not a black ipa.

Bottle 12oz. Pours dark brown with off white head, good lacing. Aroma of fruits, grapefruit, citrus (oranges), roasted malts, hint of flowers. Sweet taste with notes of sweet fruits, hops and grapefruit. Some bitterness with notes of pine in the aftertaste. Medium body and average carbonation.

Bottle pour into tulip glass from Greg & Jane’s Beer and Wine. Aroma is roasted malts with hint of anise, chocolate and pine. Appearance is virtually black but dark ruby red with light source directly behind, finger width creamy beige head with no sparkle and mild lacing. Taste is balance of sweet and bitter roasted malts with light chocolate and hint of anise and pine as in aroma. Palate is medium bodied with light, thin texture, lively carbonation and pleasant roasted bitter finish. Overall, more on the roasted, malty side than a true balance between the sweet malts and the bitter hops. The contribution of the hops is more for bitterness than flavor. Could be a little thicker.

30-MAR-2016, bottle @home, from Meny. Dark brown with a high off-white head. Aroma is roast and hops with a clear smoked note as well. Meaty, peated. Taste the same. As it warms or perhaps as I get used to it - the smoke becomes more faint and the malt more obvious. Chocolate. But still also the pine and grape fruit. A tad over carbonated. Smooth, bitter. Very nice.

12 oz bottle picked up at Central Ave Liquors for the opening weekend of March Madness. Consumed with commonshawn. Black in color with a healthy amount of tannish head. Aroma includes plenty of roasted malt notes, a little chocolate, and some citrus hoppyness. Taste has initial peat like elements but gives way to a nice bitter, dark chocolate quality that leads the drinker into a pleasant, lingering finish. There is also a fruity note like grapefruit or peach. Slightly ash towards the end but nothing that overwhelms the palette. There is a definite bite influencing the mouthfeel...seems to avoid drifting into silky, smooth territory. It’s a good rendition of a black IPA and one I would direct the uninitiated towards. My feet are tapping to the beat of this Clown Shoes effort.

Pours a satin black with a large foamy tan head that quickly settles to low. Aromas of chocolate, roasted malts, peach, citrus, grapefruit. Taste is a happy (hoppy?) medium between fruitiness and roasted chocolate notes. Mouthfeel is medium boided with quite a substantial carbonaition. Good stuff!

Nearly black with thick beige head. Mild roasted aroma with light licorice notes. Roasted malt and sweet licorice flavour, good hoppy bitterness to balance. Nice.

Mahagony dark brown with a frothy light tan lasting head, good lacings. Aromas of chocolate-nut cookies, herbal, floral, peppery, piney light fruity, orange zesty and grassy notes develop. Very fine carbonation light slick with a light-medium body. Roast chocolate/coffee sweetnesswith clear light floral fruity rather herbal hop bitterness. Roast malt finish.

Bottled 11/6/2014. Damn Merchants. Aroma is all malt, as most old IPAs smell, earthy hops, not much else. Appearance is dark dark brown, light tan head. Taste is roasted malt, earthy hops, actually isn’t all that bad. Deep rich flavor. Mouthfeel is medium body, crisp carbonation, lots of roast in the aftertaste. Overall, for a beer that’s old as fuck, this one is pretty good. I’d like this fresh as I imagine it’s really good.

0,33l bottle at home from trade with Zakoon, big thanks. No obvious BB date. almost black color, medium big tan head. good lacing. smells of citric notes, some licorice, some parfume, light spices, cloves, hints of vanilla, bitter chocolate, nuts. decent smell. full body, medium carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of resin, some licorice, grass, coffee, hints of grapefruit. finishes lightly roasty with notes of licorice and light resin notes. decent stuff, quite a lot of carbonation though which probably rather improves the beer, overall limited flavours but possibly my bottle is also not so fresh.

En rigtig god IPA, den har noter af frisk humle, og har en lille smag af brændt malt i eftersmagen.
