4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 SPDickerman (700) - Texas, USA - NOV 5, 2012
Pours burnt umber with a small, creamy yellowish white head. Smells of caramel and light grassy hops. Taste is sweet, subtle, and a touch bitter. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and lightly active mouth-carbonation, Clown Shoes Let My People Go finishes with a tiny touch of bitterness.

A light Sierra Nevada like aroma. Had fairly warm. Some nice hops, fairly smooth. A pretty unassuming beer. Good.

rater #10! Woot. Bottle from Choice Beverages in McKinney. Pours a deep copper/mahogany with a medium off white head. The aromas are biscuit, cocoa, malt. The mouthfeel is dry with a strong malt presence and a medium body with good carbonation. I actually liked this one! Cheers!

Pours deep amber into a Sam glass. Off-white micro head with good retention recedes leaving scant sheets to skim surface. Caramel and resin aromas. Medium bodied with sweet caramel and toasted nuts upfront turning to a mildly bitter and earthy resin finish.

Caramel and dark fruit in the aroma. Flavor is sweet and fruity with a little flowery bitterness in the finish. Better than I expected.
3.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 krisolson (57) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - DEC 20, 2012
Really good beer. Great flavors with nice hops. No lingering aftertaste that a lot of ales can leave. The amber color makes the beer appealing to drink.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 GTownBeer (20) - Texas, USA - JAN 14, 2013
Deep amber, great thick foam head. Has a almost rye character. Very easy to put down. From the wall, it did the trick. Another one bites the dust. shared with Grambo after our brew day.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 unclemattie (3711) - Georgia, USA - MAR 16, 2013
22oz bottle, bottled on 08/2012. Deep copper color. Thick tan foam, nice lacing. Aroma of Brett, spicy rye, and bubblegum. Very interesting nose, wild yeast scent for sure. Caramel malt, notes of honey, nice pine hops, some herbal notes, and dry earthiness. Spicy, peppery tingle in the finish is either the presence of rye or wild yeast strain. A very nice APA.

Bomber. Pours a cloudy amber with medium frothy off white head leaving spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is a bready malt yeast and raisin. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet malt and light bitter hop with honey. Easy to drink with light bitter finish, a good American pale ale from Clown Shoes

22oz bomber pours slightly murky amber with a semi loose tan head of foam. A pale ale? Hmm. The aroma offers up malts, biscuit malts, a dap of nuttiness and I swear I’m getting a Brett like aroma off in the background. Maybe it is just a sharp tart lime like quality. The taste is similar where there’s malts and biscuit malts and a malt like nuttiness riding over the top of tart grapefruit and tart lime like notes. Very interesting beer where in the finish the tart and bitter lime to grapefruit notes keep this from getting too malty into the finish. Interesting odd beer that doesn’t hit a home run but doesn’t strike out either, maybe a sneaky full swing infield single.
