COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our third anniversary beer us sizes Chocolate Sombrero, using extra ancho chile and adding chipolte pepper. We aged the brew 100% in Wild Turkey and Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. May it leap onto your palate majestically, like a luchador who flies into the ring from atop the highest rope.

This is the real deal... Excellente! Taste, aroma, mouthfeel - all fantastic... Wish I tasted more of the Ancho chilies, but won't let that detract from an otherwise spectacular beer....

Love the dark spicy notes in this beer. Complex and special. Recommended. Pairs well with richer spicy foods like molé. Also good to just sip on and meditate. - pixels sent via Beer Buddy on iPhone

Bomber. Pours a deep reddish brown with a dark tan head. Nice lacing. Nose is loaded with chiles and chocolate and sweet malts. Taste is full of chiles, alcohol, chocolate, and hints of coffee. Nice fresh spicy kick. Very earthy and fresh. Awesome brew! Flavor gets more potent as it warms! Amazing. Happy Birthday to me! --Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bottle, bottled on 01/08/13. Black pour, brown creamy head. Huge smells of chocolate, hints of chili peppers, loads of vanilla. Huge flavor. Tastes of chocolate, dark chocolate, roast, bourbon, burnt barley, silent chipotle spice. Finishes with a flavor of chilies, loads of chocolate, and a cough syrup bitterness. Whoa, what a huge Clown Shoes! An excellent beer, well worth the wait. (3654)

Smoky aroma has roast malt, caramel and chocolate notes, with an overtone of bourbon - obviously from them Wild Turkey barrels. Comes out of the bottle a deep coffee brown that lets in a little daylight at the bottom and has a fairly thick light tan head. Luscious flavor has roast malt, coffee, chocolate, caramel and bourbon notes - and watch out for that alcohol kick, itll bowl you over like a luchador! Thick, smooth texture has a lively fizz and leaves a syrupy finish with a strong bourbon bite.

Bottle. Pours a near black color with a very small tan head on it. Nose is somewhat bourbon forward with the roasting coming in underneath. Taste is just a tad roasty with a hint of spice in there and the bourbon coming through later. Quite interesting...

Dark brown pour with beige head. Aroma of bourbon, chocolate and vanilla. Taste is the same with emphasis on the bourbon. This is a great beer.

On tap at Cloverleaf. Pours a dark brown color with a caramel colored head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, pepper spice, and vanilla. Great taste. Perfect blend of the coffee roast, vanilla, and pepper spice. All subtle but noticeable. Nice medium to thick body. Great brew.

UPDATED: MAY 1, 2014 This beer took me by surprise. A definite hint of bourbon with some chocolate and just the right amount of pepper as to not turn this into some freak show specialty beer. This is at the top of my 2nd tier of stouts. Considering the Bourbon County?s, KBS and Surly Darkness are on the top tier I?d say that says something great about this beer.
