COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our third anniversary beer up-sizes Chocolate Sombrero, using extra ancho chile and adding chipotle pepper. We aged the brew 100% in Wild Turkey and Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. May it leap onto your palate majestically, like a luchador who flies into the ring from atop the highest rope.

Deep brown in color with a slight off-white/tan colored head. Spiced (cinnamon) boozey chocolatey aroma. Sweet roasty chocolatey with defined alcohol warmth and a touch of heat. Quite smooth.

Bottle. Pours midnight brown with a thin white head that dissipates. Big boozy stout with a hint of chili burn that fades quicker than I'd like. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance and aroma are nothing special, but the flavor is divine. Judicious use of the booze barrels are subtlety evident and supportive of the bolder coffee, cocoa, black malt, flavors. Perfect palate. Fairly drinkable.

On tap. Pours brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, vanilla, sweet malt, nougat. Flavor of bourbon, roasted malt, vanilla, chocolate malt. I don’t really get any of the chile notes, just lots of bourbon. Ok. 7/4/6/4/13 (3.4/5)

650ml bottle from Cork Keg & Spirits, brought by bananabi11, cellared for 2 months and shared with him at cellar temperature. Thx E! Chasing Clown Shoes, so a bit of a white whale. Black pour, brown head. Aroma has chocolate, caramel light chile, truffles. Taste is sweet caramel, dark chocolate, some roast. Medium to full bodied. Low carbonation. Blend is good. Some alcohol. The light chile is an interesting addition. Finishes well mixed between bitter and sweet. Clown shoes has really nice stouts. Big fan! 15

Bottle. The pour is dark with lacing. The aroma is chocolate and spice. The taste is nice. Not a lot of spice which I was glad, but warming. Not a ton of barrel. A solid beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
