Our boy, Miracle Mike, represents the good we hope to do with the Clown Shoes Minor Miracle Fund. A percentage of the profits from this juicy, sessionable IPA will be used to help real people (and maybe a puppy or two).

The aroma is citrus and pine with malt and popcorn. The appearance is hazy amber with a medium head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is average. Overall not fantastic

A hazed amber IPA with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, biscuit malt over fragrant resinous hops, grassy and smooth, caramel. In mouth, nice grassy malt with floral British hops, nice and smooth, not over the top. On tap at Summer Winter Marriott Burlington MA, for 6.50$, August 3 2012.

22oz bomber pours deep gold body with a faint haze and it supports a fluffy tan head. The mild aroma offers up sweet malts and thin snippets of lemony to grapefruit like citrus notes. The taste begins with a pretty good dash of lemon mixed with grapefruit and getting firmly bitter toward midway. As this heads to the finish some sweet malts and earthy green tea join in the fun. I’m really liking this style IPA. It is a little earthy tea like (Jasmine tea maybe) and it is working great.

Smells like a mixed bag of pellet hops, with no real discernable flavors like citrus or pine to remark on. Taste is more of the same, a totally unremarkable but easy to drink pale ale that doesn’t really merit the IPA tag. I usually like Clown Shoes quite a bit but this is just forgettable.

Bouteille 22 oz. Achetée au IGA de Potsdam, NY. Couleur ambrée, mousse crémeuse blanche. Arôme d’agrumes houblonneux, citrus, malt. En bouche, douce, malt et houblons. Pas très amère, une IPA accessible mais très bonne.

I don’t remember a single thing about this one -- it was sampled late in the day at the 2012 Lansdale Beer Fest.

22oz bottle: pours a clear bright golden with a clingy-lacing white head. Has a sweet light caramel malty and fresh hoppy nose. Starts with decent fullness and lots of sweet pale malts with some resiny hop notes and bitter balance before a slightly drier bittersweet finish. Could be a little crisper, with less sweetness, but still a decent IPA.
